There has been a bit of recent news involving the A330ceo - or more specifically - its longer variant, the A330-300. One European airline has recently refurbished a pair that came from a Middle Eastern carrier, while an airline over in Asia seems to have finally reactivated all of its A330 airframes that had been in long-term storage due to the pandemic.

The Qatar aircraft were configured for flying lots of foreign workers back and forth to India and other Asian countries. For short / medium routes the CEO engines and planes are more suited than heavier wider more advanced replacements and on the used market are easily and affordably available…..

@@malahammer I think the A330neo is believed to be cheaper than other similar sized aircraft, but it has somewhat worse fuel economy. Airlines operating dense shorter routes should benefit this type more.

@@canto_v12 well the satire still stands, I thought CRAIC was dead in the water, I didn't realize that Comac had decided to still build the C929. But I bet by the time the C929 enters service people in Hong Kong will only be able to fly inside of China anyways. 😅

@@canto_v12 I am suggesting that the CCP is slowly taking away any and all freedoms from those who live in Hong Kong. So it's satire, by saying that one will only be able to fly within China once the C929 is in service. Because Hong Kong will be restricted just like people were behind the Iron Curtain.
