It's ironic that this is to point out that fact that we should not be protesting and actually try and o something that is effective.

Protesting is energetically and symbolically very effective.

+Himalayan Yogini tell me what the protests have accomplished. This is of course rhetorical. A better means would be reaching states people who have a stronger voice for the people. It is the basic principle of America. Also, I'm not saying these protests are ill-advised, I am merely pointing out the monotony of screaming to solve nothing. All we have done is separate our country. I support bipartisan rallying, but to bring to the point of rioting is no longer logical. We have a right to protest, but we do not have the right to cause chaos, as shown by the u.s case of korematsu, I believe.

interesting. I wasn't aware of korematsu before reading your post. I do beg to differ on the effectiveness of protesting.. take for instance the american civil rights movement, or Gandhi marching to the sea to make salt.... Both made a difference. I think passive resistance is a great idea:)
