Let's not forget the genius who wrote this magnificent song, the late Eric Woolfson. Still missed today. But, as he said "if you remember me, I am immortal"
Morta - death, is an illusion. Eternity is ahead for us all. Death is a new beginning and utopia is to come as promised from the highest authority. Also, more on topic. This is one of my favorite works from the collections of my favorite musicians! Haven't seen this live performance till now. Bravo
Been a part of mine as well, way younger than you mind but i absolutely hated most of the music i heard growing up and always pestered my folks for the older songs.
You prolly dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all the latest movies and series on instaflixxer. I've been binge watching with my brother for the last couple of days =)
My favourite musician, Alan Parsons, is simply fantastic. I saw him live in Calgary last year without an orchestra, and he was very good; but, teamed with an orchestra, makes it a superior experience.
I've always liked The Alan Parson Project's songs, but this show is sensational, especially the best known, such as "Time", "Eyes in the Sky", "La sagrada Familia" among others.
‘Discovered’ AP in the early 1980s when a mate lent me an LP. Have been a fan ever since. Sad when Eric died; such a fantastic singer and musician and AP’s right arm. This symphonic project shows the genius of that partnership. The musicianship is as good as it gets. Honey for the ears.
Meu Deus...
Every one of those front musicians, guitarists, keyboard and drummer are anticipating the jam session with the incredible orchestra behind them and then when it finally kicks in they are as one and its like heaven. Orchestra and front musicians equally relish it. As we do.
It doesn't get much better than this. I'm 57 and have only just discovered the Alan Parsons Project. Loved the 80s music but regret missing some of the less commercial sounds like this. Still better late than never! Will they ever tour the UK? If they do, I'll be first in the queue.
They were commercial just s a decade or so earlier. I was a kid at my first concert with a cousin who was like a big brother. I was fortunate enough to have older "kids" letting me hang out and include me to the degree you can a grade schooler. I had such an eclectic taste in music from ELO to Alan Parsons Pink to Floyd and that's before I get into all the country music I was introduced to by Dad , or Big Band & Jazz from his Dad We had a HUGE ARRAY of song writer with v such varied background an Thu technology emerging and evolving seemingly so quickly an now I look at the change of pace again. The one thing I don't like about digital is that the corporations have now found a way to keep a digital lock down on art .
лишь альбом "Dark side of the moon" был создан на пару с Сидом Баррэтом.
Maravillosos, genios!!!
The Oboe is truly one of the most difficult instruments to master but each member of this Orchestra are indeed masters at their craft. And every member of The Alan Parsons Project are the best! Thanks Alan!
Sublime!!!!
I have no words.. This is a masterpiece. PJ's voice, the horn and string sections.. The only thing that bothers me is the drum snare which sounds weak to me, but anyways that's an amazing song
Muero, muero, muero! Gracias Alan, a ti, y a tu banda. El talento es total. 💞 💞 💞 💞 💞 💞 💞
