Robert, you owe me a case of artificial tears. Why? How can anyone even blink when the scenery is SO amazing and it is only going to get better. I am so looking forward to trying a road trip like this myself but until then, I am absolutely LOVING the videos you are putting out. Thank you so much!
Just like the Richardson Highway, Traveling Robert and the lovely and intrepid Illey do not disappoint. Your travels seem like a dream. We know the bad roads will make your back hurt and the mosquito swarms drive a person insane. You acknowledge those things in an informative way and don't gloss over them, but there is always a positive outlook. I appreciate that. Onward! North to Alaska!
Love the scenery! Your camera lens is so powerful, to see the mountains like they are closeby, then you zoom out back to where you can barely see them- WoW! Alaska is SO amazingly beautiful! Makes me want to try that roadtrip! Someday I will see Alaska, whether by cruiseship, car, Land/tour--it is on my bucket list!!Thanks so much for the "Appetizer tour" you are providing!!
I am binging this trip right through Captain Pelicanhead, and I have to say while I love the drone shots of the desert, the drone shots from here are authentically breath taking. The start of the drone footage when you rise through the surrounding trees and then we get the aerial view of the surrounding mountains is something that I am sure all photographers and film makers would agree, is exactly why they take photos or make films using these environments.
Such beauty! The flowers along the road were gorgeous as were the mountains, sky, lakes! Thank you for letting us live vicariously through you in your travels!
Thank you Robert and family. I love the north and all the beauty that the Yukon and Alaska has to offer. Did you love that moose just by himself, minding his owm business, and just so magnificent a creature. Bless our World Robert and bless our families in it. Thank you so much for the share. Carolyn and Colin Osoyoos British Columbia Canada. Precious show.
I love all the view’s whether they are Alaska views or Yukon Territory it doesn’t matter to me. Robert takes amazing pictures and is a wonderful videographer also. Love all your videos Robert! Keep up the amazing work your doing!! ♥️♥️
So super jealous of you both right now but happy for you. Scenery is stunning. I busted up when you said you always wanted to sit on two countries at the same time. Thank you so much for videoing this adventure and sharing it with us.
The clouds in Florida are very low and puffy. The clouds in Alaska are higher, that must be the difference. ☁️☁️☁️☁️☁️🌄🏞🏕😊 . I Love it! Thanks Robert, your the Best!
Hey there folks! We are enjoying this episode, and laughed when you decided not to stay at the Snowded In Rv Park in Delta Junction! We stayed there twice... LOL On the way through like you ( a few days earlier ) passing through after Tok, then again in August. Enjoyed meeting you in Fairbanks June.
What fun. And how beautiful are those mountains. I was always a beach girl. But watching you drive through mountainous places. I’m rethinking this. Lol. ❤
Hello Traveling Robert 👍👍👍, What an AMAZING trip to Alaska and well beyond. Those AWESOME SPECTACULAR mountains...oh WOW! One of these days when I retire I'm going to travel to Alaska. Awesome Video Footage! Robert you are amazing! Can't wait to see what's next on this Alaska Journey 👍👍👍!
Thanks Robert, it's nice to see and experience your travels. I hope, one day I can take a trip to Alaska. I have seen a lot of the states Great Photos and videos, you make on your travels. Greetings from Norway, to you.
Can’t wait to do this drive since we now live in NW Montana; my last trip to AK was in Oct 2018 by plane from FL; People are amazed when I tell them the drive from NW Montana to Fairbanks is 500 miles less than the drive from NW Montana to West Palm Beach, FL.
Hi Robert! My husband and I love watching your episodes and planning adventures together. Alaska looks so beautiful and is definitely on our bucket list now. We look forward to a nicely chilled IPA each week as we check out your incredible adventures..”to go where no Minitini has gone before” 😂❤
Great trip. As inaccessible as Alaska is now, I can hardly imagine what it was like when Seward bought the land back in 1867. It would have been like buying the far side of the moon.
We can't believe we didn't run into you on our trip to AK!?! You were in Fairbanks the same time that we were! The mosquitoes were really bad there then. Your final drone shot was amazing!
Robert! Came across your channel after doing my summer drive down to FL in July. Watching your videos brings me the peace that I experienced while driving myself. Keep up the great work! Dios te bendiga!
What a beautiful, stunning video. The mountains in Alaska are just magnificent. Enjoyed seeing the views of the pipeline. My cousin was a nurse on the pipeline when it was built. Can't wait seeing the views on the Dalton hightway.
Hey, my name is on the ending credits! I have achieved immortality. 😉 Robert and Ili, thank you both for taking us with you on your interesting journeys and adventures. I'm grateful to both of you! Take care, and see you...on the road. 👋
Great video thank you so much. I've been twice too, alaska, but i've never gotten to driven the Alcan highway, So thank you for taking us on that part of your journey. Those mountains are beautiful but you ain't seen nothing yet. Really looking forward to your drive from glen allen to valdez it's just so incredible. You get to be in those mountains. Blessings
Hi Robert. I commented on your Victoria, BC trip a while back. Really enjoed this trip. Great video, editing, and camera work. Keep up the good work Robert!
an amazing adventure. I know you had been planning that for a few years now, so very happy that you made it to Alaska. As for those mosquitos...well, I have lived in rural Canada for most of my life, so I am on a first name basis with many of them. They can be nasty from time to time. A drill hole and a pin will keep those bumper end caps in place even on the roughest roads... As always, safe travels...
Wao great trip ....Fly pelican fly....pelican come to asia world now explore this part of the world.explore northern pakistan,China,Russia etc....lots of love I have been watching you when you were young❤
Anywhere that has snow and icy winters, has potholes. It breaks up asphalt easily. I sometimes wish roads got fixed, but then I dislike the long backups for road repairs! No pleasing me🤣
The old bridge 10 miles east of Tok, which I had driven across at least 100 times, was demolished in March 2011. You can find videos of the demo by searching “Tanana River Bridge Tok 2011”. The Alaska Hwy between the border and the bridge was very winding with hairpin curves. It was realigned in the 80’s.
Robert, can you imagine the temperature of the peaks of those snow ❄️ capped mountains even in the Alaska summer. How many Florida/Dade County license plates did you see , perhaps only yours ? Loved the video always wonderful!
What a beautiful place you are taking us to! Why are the clouds lower in the far North? Apparently it's due to the Troposphere where all the weather is being nearer the surface up there. The Earth is a flattened sphere really and at the Equator the Troposphere ends 13 miles up, but at the Poles it's only 5 miles so the various clouds have to ride lower. Also it is colder so the treeline will be lower anyway, and because the sun shines from a low angle the light spreads over a wider area making it less intense.
Robert the scenery is incredible and thank you for sharing. I have a couple of questions. To solve your low battery issues, could you not install a second alternator in the truck and connect to Minnie Tini for charging as you drive? This technology is used in campervans. For the hungry mosquitoes, have you considered using a Thermacell or Flextail repeller ? The Roaming Radfords used a Flextail on their recent Morocco trip. Looking forward to the Dalton videoes.
