Place, Space & Justice in a Climate Migration World
Climate-induced migration is inevitable and already occurring. As slow and sudden-onset disasters wreak havoc in places all over the world, communities will experience not just physical disruption, but disruption to their shared sense of community, to their means of livelihood, and to the beliefs, practices, and patterns that define their ways of life. By some estimates, climate change could generate more than 200 million migrants by 2050. The ripple effects of climate induced migration are vast and underexplored. Join us for this two-panel Symposium exploring local and global preparedness for climate migration.
