On November 13th, 1992, three girls from a small Spanish town called Alcasser set off in the early evening. Their names were Toni Gomez Rodriguez, Desiree Hernandez Folch, and Miriam Garcia Iborra. They never made it to their destination - a nightclub located in a neighboring town - despite being seen just down the block. Over the next two months, the police had to rely on some spotty eyewitness testimony as their only way of finding the girls.
The next seventy-five days would be torture for the family of the girls, who would receive a crushing blow when a couple of middle-aged beekeepers made a gruesome discovery in the final days of January.
Part one of five.

The clear and concise manner you narrate the true crime stories are impressive.. I am grateful someone has put this story together in a chronological way. It has been frustrating to get bits and pieces of this story from multiple sources and I am fluent in spanish, but this story has been pieced apart on the internet like a puzzle. The story of the Alcasser girls needs to be told to the world. There is obvious government corruption, and international child porn rings that need to be exposed. Chronological podcasts like these are the perfect source.

By far one of the best uses of music in all if your narrations. It is so suitable and extremely well used. The tune is eerie and sad in a subtle way. The way it is played by itself, gives for a very pleasant time for the listener to reflect upon the story. And when it is used more faded and lingering underneath your voice, it really accompanies the nature if the story very well.

There were many disappearance at that time in Spain. There was a weird case two years or so before Alcàsser, also in the province of Valencia and around with three teenagers dead. I think it was in Macastre. I found three sites in Spanish that talked about them but not official sites (as newspapers, press and such). They were between 14 and 15, their bodies were found in different months and apart from each other. It is curious that the first two bodies were only some 500 m away but they did not find the second body I mefiately after the first one even though police had to have search the area. The three kids (two girls and one boy) were friends and disappeared together

These podcasts are amazing! Maybe you have some spanish followers who could've helped you with translations or their recallings of the case? I think you should do that for the next case, it would be interesting to hear people's perspecives on cases like these

Maria M I feel disgusted after hearing the word amazing related to a case like this, one thing is to be informed and other is be pleased with morbidness

O.M.G.!!! Why do I do this to myself...googled this case...& I wasn't ready for the crime scene photos that popped up & shocked the shit out of me!!! I had to keep telling myself it's not real..the only way to cope with it. And I definitely wasn't trying to figure out what I was seeing...@ first glance..it doesn't look real & it takes an extended look to make out what it is. Well not me...I don't wanna understand what it is...a moments glance is enough for me! My God it's awful!!

I regret googling them too :( I had a bit of confidence I won't find anything since I listened to the case through the Unresolved podcast and it said that only one image was taken or so and the forensic footage was gone or deleted. I'll be in shock for some time now. It's disturbing. Hopefully I forget about it and move on.

I read somewhere that the father of one of the victims was the one to release those photos, through a book, years later.

Something happened at Esters house. Why would they visit a friend and her father that had a bug (so they could get it too). They were probably lured & trapped at Esters house.

A crime that was pretty much a social trauma here in Spain. There were parents who no longer allowed their teenage daughters to go out at night because of fear, or they let them but with much more control and restrictions.
