I don't get how that can be your take on this interview. I don't think calling a man humble is a compliment, I feel it often seems like a kinder way to say someone comes off as soft. I think the Alchemist is manly, like what kind of people are you used to having around if that's what you call humble? Just crackhead drunkards that scream and shoot indiscriminately around their tent camp the whole time? Or are you referring to it in terms of how he speaks of his career, like not being more cocky about it? He is still rather underground and primarily known for people that are deeply into hip-hop, so even though he obviously must have made a living on it, he's not thaaat big of a deal compared to the high level, even if he is almost considered an icon within real hip-hop.

@ozshukran
@ozshukran 7 месяцев назад
I think he's talking about The G.O.D which ended up being a god's son bonus track. The beat was mediocre and swizz clearly forced himself on the project. Thank god nas didn't keep it on the retail. Nas and swizz don't mesh well, the general is the only song I like from their collab, swizz has an history of nearly ruined nas' efforts. And as alchemist said, he's good for hyping his work but that's really to overcompensate the fact that the music is average. good music speak for itself, no need for all the theatrics when you know you're good

That's fine, every industry needs jobbers! But don't get uppity like you're an artist. It's like a graphic designer thinking he's Picasso. Stop it.
