A short getaway into the Swiss Alps. Driving over the Furka Pass, visiting the Aletsch Glacier and driving back home over the Grimsel Pass. While doing so I shot a couple of rolls of film with my Leica M6 and Mamiya RZ67.
All photos in this video were taken with my Leica M6 or Mamiya RZ67 on ILFORD HP5+, Kodak Ektar 100, Kodak Portra 400 and Lomography Metropolis.

Thank you T. Happy to hear you enjoyed it. I love Ektar for landscapes (esp. 120) and HP5 as my goto around film.

Thanks for this lovely clip! My partner is half Swiss and we travel there whenever possible to visit family. Each time we try to discover some new places. There is just so much to see - and see again :). A truly amazing country! The glacier was breathtaking even in this video. I can imagine how vast and humbling it must be when you’re actually standing there. It was a good choice to capture it on black and white film. I suppose film will not be around any more one day, just the way the glacier will be no more in the future. Although let’s hope I’m wrong about both :). Thanks for making the video, great fun!

Thanks a lot for watching and your comment. Truly humbling indeed. Let's hope the glacier and film will still be around for a while. Sadly both might be gone sooner than we would like.

I loved the pacing of this video, the fast cuts at the start when leaving the city and then the more slow, ambient shots when in nature really set a mood. Can’t decided whether I liked the black and white shots or the color shots more, both were absolutely incredible!

Thank you so much Karin. Appreciate it. I am also in between which ones I like better as well. I tend to lean towards the b&w ones at the moment.

We hiked around the Gorner Glacier and to Gornergratt a couple weeks ago. Man, these Swiss Alps are beautiful! I had the Xpan with me and now the rolls are with Tricolor for developing. I can't wait to see the results :-)

Sweet. Yeah, the swiss alps are magical. TriColor is a good choice.

I am sorry if this is out of context, but I need some help here. While removing the body cap of my Leica M8, I accidentally turned the "wheel" which has the hex-key inlet and is on top of the bayonet with my finger, where you adjust/calibrate the rangefinder. Is the finder now decalibrated? I unfortunately cannot test it with a lens now, I just wanted to know if I am good, or I messed something up.

Hi Vincent. It's hard to tell from remote tbh :-( I am sorry. Chances are that if you turned the screw the calibration might be off.
