I love your tours! But I miss when you used to build your own version at the end of videos, I found it so helpful when I bought my last car and I'm ready to upgrade again!
Do a review of the Santa Fe Hybrid Calligraphy!!! We just got one and we love it. You didn’t do this car justice reviewing the bottom of the barrel trim
The rear gives me G-Wagon vibes. I dont mind it. There's a method to Hyundai's madness why the taillights are low. It's to maximize most cargo space. It is functional and serves a purpose
Hey Kelly. Congrats on baby number 4! I test drove the 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe XRT version this very day up here in Canada. Here it comes with all-terrain tires and a much higher ground clearance. The car was lovely to drive, except when moving off from 'auto hold!' Seemed very sluggish for a 2.5L Turbo? Also hate, hate, hate the rear wiper. I know it looks better, but my wife has the 2023 Hyundai Tucson, and it doesn't clear the back windshield as well as the normal mounting....even in the winter. Hers is the 1.6L hybrid and doesn't seem to have the same issue moving from auto hold. Thanks for all your 'no-nonsense' reviews.
Gosh, hate the back, but LOVE the car seat capabilities for the 3rd row. We have a 2014 kia sorento and like you said, wheb we need to occasionally haul another adult we have NO option for a carseat in the rear seats because there's no tethers or anchors. So we have to uninstall to allow access to the 3rd row by slide and then reinstall a car seat, EVERY TIME the person gets in or out. It's absolutely ridiculous 😅
Please add a segment in your reviews where you share IIHS and NHTSA ratings - as a car mom reviewer this should be an important aspect for parents to consider - especially this Santa Fe only has a “marginal” rating for second row passengers and is not a top safety pick + ..
This is first time I have seen your video and I'm super happy to see how honest and helpfully you have chosen your words, not being biased etc about any brand. I loved it watching the video. P.S: instead of olive jacket, I suggest maroon would look much better on that outfit.
Hey! I’m thinking of getting a Santa Fe. Would a booster seat fit comfortably in that middle bench seat in between two diono front facing car seats? Or would I have to place one car seat in the 3rd row along with the booster and the other car seat in the second row. I’d need to be able to open that bench seat without issue.
I have a 2023 and this remodel is SO CRAZY! I agree that I do not like the new look of the front/back…way too boxy! It’s nice that they added the 3rd row option!
Hopefully once it’s available you can do a review on the new 2025 Kia Carnival hybrid. If they have the SX/Sx Prestige option that would be great too. The new design looks so much better even with that pesky silver panel on the side, it actually doesn’t look as bad now! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it. Congrats on new baby!
I was driving behind one yesterday and I think the back of this vehicle is so hideous looking! It is definitely something that you either like or really dislike.
All of the lights represent the “H”,for Hyundai corp. The front passenger seat glove box is a sanitizer for phones and electrical gadgets, at least on the higher trims. Excellent quality at this price point overall.
The rear doesn’t bother me as much as most other ppl. What I don’t like is the standard 3rd row. I’d love it if there were an optional 5 seat version in the XRT trim
Just keep the seats down and forget about it until you may need for emergency purposes. Or, buy the XRT Tuscon. It has a mid-size dimensions to be a class under the Santa Fe. And, it needs a 3rd row to match its twin, Kia Sorrento.
Is it dangerous to have over lapping seat belt? I have my Honda crv and they overlap . I do have two car seats and my oldest go in the middle but he just used seatbelt now.
I feel like I would like this so much better if the front and rear lights were designed better and less wild. I definitely like a squared SUV vs a rounded cross over look but they’re trying too hard here.
So there’s no good way for a child to get in the third row with two car seats installed on the bench, right? Other than crawling through the cargo area?
The design was inspired by 1990 Hyundai Galloper. It was sold in Korea and other markets. Look it up for viewing purposes, and you can see the influences of that design.
Hyundai/Kia has two good things:Style and $$ for the features. Now they just have $$ for the features. Bad engines, poor theft security, child labor violations... Bottom of my list of cars to buy.
As someone who drives a Palisade and loves it and still almost traded it in on the older Santa Fe, let me just say… THANKS, I HATE IT. 😂 The infotainment system is STUNNING, but everything else on the interior is just way too boxy to me, and the exterior gives me major ick. It’s like the Kia Soul had a baby with Ford, and I hate it so much. I could never. 😅 I really hope that they are not planning on carrying this body style throughout their lineup. But that’s just my opinion, and I’m sure that people who prefer boxy vehicles will love it. 🤷🏼♀️ In other news, congratulations on baby 4, Kelly! You only had 2 when I started watching - love to see your family grow! 🥰
Me! I prefer boxy! It's a departure from the soccer mom vibes of the last generation Hyundai Santa Fe. The new 2025 is supposed to go for that boxy design as well. I already saw renderings of it. Think Range Rover XL.
I like the hybrid offerings. You could save $10,000 on fuel throughout the vehicle’s lifetime. But, they’re just not up there in terms of practicality or long term durability vs a Pacifica or Pilot.
