Well indeed, but I would add All comedy before 2010, or 2000 if you're stricter. I know I've said the same as you before, about it not being made today, but I think they could be. It's the writers that have become cowed, and in addition bad writers being employed pushing woke trash that has caused this humourless era. If the great writers wrote exactly what they wanted, eventually everyone would realise the difference and the unfunny writers would no longer get work. It's actually already happening, with the failure of unentertaining shows, but the loons are still in positions of power pushing it, so it's up to audiences to reject it, we shall see....

Victoria Wood (sadly lost just this week), French & Saunders, Fry & Laurie, Hi De Hi, Waiting For God, Some Mothers Do Ave Em, Girls On Top, Kenny Everett, Yes Minister & Alan Partridge, I think that's enough to get you started ;-)

There isnt anything like the alexi sayle show im afraid, nothing that fantastic but have you seen these? Father ted. The comic book presents. Bottom. Dangerous brothers. Let them eat cake. Ripping yarns. Jabberwocky. Some are from the 80's, I think they were uploaded to you tube by telegram or semaphore.

I understand you're being complimentary, but it wasn't ahead of its time, it was perfectly reflective of 80' & 90's alternative UK comedy. Comedy has unfortunately devolved since then, mainly due to offense culture, so anything pre 2000 is the zenith of comedy, today's comedy is just a joke.
