What if I run out of electric "fuel" in the middle of nowhere? Can I cross every normal bridge I normally could in a vehicle weighing more than 3 tons? What do I do on wet soil/ground? I love the G but I think the Wolf is by far the best G and offroader you'll find.

3:19 that's what every dirtbike owner does since decades. 1st gear and a slide. Just not 360° but 180°. I do this offroad sometimes with my KTM

That's impressive. Hopefully some years later there will be a new battery technology to reduce battery weight and increase their storage capacity. I won't be switching to electric car anytime soon due to long range regular autobahn travel. 400d/450d engines all the way and electric Smart for short-distance city missions. When we have a real 2K range with fast charge, that will change the game!

Hello. The range of the G 580 is between 430 and 470 kilometers according to the driving style. Off-roading will, of course, use more energy than the road.

Why isn´t there something like a virtual difflock- you push a button and all 4 motors will turn at the same speed? I think in some situations it would be better than na automatic difflock which has to wait until the wheels start to slip. Is it also true that the electric version can´t tow a trailer?

I am EV guy lover, But....... I don't get about this 3Tone EV. With a really good power control, 2 motors with ONE single gear ratio would be enough. So you save 2 other motors, les weight, less expensive, less carbon footprint, and more efficient. Then, this battery needs 800 V to charge faster and flatter curve. In order to overcome the stratospheric consumption.

The electric G-Class is designed with a reinforced ladder frame and a specialized suspension system that keeps the wheels stable during off-road driving. This design choice prioritizes consistent handling and durability in rugged terrain. Air suspension was not included because the current setup already exceeds the performance requirements for extreme off-road conditions.
