Will give these a try,, H&N FTT are some of the best pellets out there. And much cheaper than JSB

Use these in my stoeger xm1 and straight out of the tin they are remarkably accurate giving me thumbnail groups at 25 yards, great pellet! 🙂

Consistent weights, I should imagine head sizes pretty consistent as well, I've never been a H&N fan but we'll done to them for the consistency.

Take off TWO mm from each group. Good shootin Tex, but groups should be measured from Center Hole to Center Hole... Pass this along please. I shoot 0.3" groups at 30 meters with a break barrel 1,000 fps springer. Beeman 10616. CTC. Center to center. RWS Superdomes 8.3 gr. Give yerself some proper credit. Me a pester also. Every mm counts! Thanks for the video.

Probably he sent you all 8.4 as you are doing a review . H&N are normally terrible for weights , H&N slugs are a different matter

These was taken out of a big bag of loose pellets, placed in the sample tin and sent to me mate, as far as Ade is aware they wasn’t pre sorted but none of us know for sure, I wasn’t asked to review them though, only try them. I did the review off of my own back because if I’m honest I am a little tired of only doing the rat videos I’ve been doing lately 👍🏻

Good video but I don’t see how you can say all the pellets are exactly the same weight. You are using a set of scales that only measure to a whole single decimal place but those pellets could be 8.41 or 8.49 and will still only register as 8.4 so there could be nearly 1gn difference but it won’t show. You need scales that weigh to 0.01gn so you can see the true weight. Same as you not measuring the pellet heads as ur calliper won’t measure to a 0.01 Good video but if you want to do it properly then you need scales that weigh to a hundredth of a grain.
@airgunhunteru.k.2600
@airgunhunteru.k.2600 Год назад
I get what your saying but I will never have the urge to weigh pellets again! It’s not nearly a grain difference mate, it’s 0.1 grain variation your talking about, 9x less than your thinking 0.1 grain which is basically what the deviation would be either side of the 8.4grain (either 8.3grain or 8.5grain) would be equivalent to 0.00647989 grams…. For what I do with the pellets that’s not going to have any real world impact on point of impact.. I wasn’t trying to do the review in such detail as you describe, that’s definitely not for me, what I showed was more than enough detail as to weather the viewer thought they was viable to try themselves and possibly do that testing for themselves buddy I’ll never go that deep down the rabbit hole 🤣

@@airgunhunteru.k.2600 Totally agree with you, but that .01 can make a big difference , I dropped a tin of 8.44 JSB Exacts on a soft carpet on a wet afternoon once, I've got a set that do read the extra decimal point, the tin went from about 8.2 to 8.7 so if all those pellets came up as 8.4 then they knock spots of the JSB offerings , they have gone well down hill. I know the FTT can vary in weight as well , but I haven't been getting damaged skirts in the FTT, I'll have to get a few tins to test, thanks for sharing your findings

Those 40 and 50 yard groups are impressive. Looks to be a useful design, better long range stability than FTT. For a lightweight pellet I would be interested to see them against H&N Bisley LRG. I've been a fan of H&N pellets since I was a kid but my 2020 and 2021 tins of pellets have been horrid. H&N have been running worn machinery and the Baracuda / Bisley Magnum high domes have heavy uneven skirts and nipples on the domes to such an extent I wonder if they are thinking of phasing out pellets altogether in favour of slugs. Hopefully they are working on improving QC for the rest of the range too.

I can’t say I’ve ever been a big H&N user mate, I have bought a few tins over the years and never really gelled with them due to inconsistencies through the tin, (especially the past couple of years) these was offered just to try, I wasn’t actually mean to be reviewing them in a video but I was kind of fed up with only putting out the rat shooting clips I have of late so decided to go full bore with a proper review. I’m genuinely glad I did and hand on heart it was going live good or bad! They definitely got on top of the quality control with this one, let’s hope they do with the rest of the range as you say above 🤞🏻 All the best Wayne

@airgunhunteru.k.2600
@airgunhunteru.k.2600 Год назад
Because that’s what I have and they are accurate, just not down to the minute weights you want buddy. It wasn’t a review to the depths of what some of you wanted and it wasn’t meant to be…. It was a review to show you they are good and for you to decide if you want to investigate further and do those more accurate tests with
