My one and only Escort was a Mk1 bubble arch 1600 before switching to a series of Capris. I never liked the look of Mk2 Escorts, but this MST Mk2 car is probably the most beautiful Escort tribute car I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning. Well done MST.
I had an RS2K in the 80's, it was my pride and joy. Don't think I ever loved anything as much ever since. This one looks absolutely stunning. I would have this over a Gallardo, not joking.
Oh dear I'm having a mid life crisis,I want one now!! 😲 Had the MK2 Mexico and 1600 Harrier when I was in my late teens, Then bought a second hand MK 1 Mexico when I was based in Windsor with The British Army. Love the old Escorts, classic bits of kit!! 👍🤩
Them Harriers were rare back in the day, I had a mate that bought one for £5000 in 84, and that was a shit load of dosh back then🤔bet they fetch a kings ransom nowadays…
@@neoquest2012 I'm pretty sure they'd be crazy money today, but most of the motors I had when I was younger are fetching a tidy sum. Mine was white with blue decals, nice motor!!
@@Spartacus45 so true fella, I had an original 998 Cooper with sliding windows and door hinges on the outside, swapped it for a 3.0S capri that I loved until I ripped the front anti roll bar out the chassis going sideways around the roundabouts of South London in 85! Had a Dolomite Sprint I blew the head gasket on and pretty much gave away! Worse one was a 65 Split screen Camper I had to sell to pay for my first divorce, hey ho, mostly good memories and better to have had than had not… 👊
Same reaction here, always wanted an X pack arched car. I was 19 when I owned a MK2 1600 Sport and a lovely black MK2 RS2000 at the same time. My mates were very jealous but I had a good job and was living at home with mum and dad so could easily afford it. Sold both cars and moved into the Golf GTi MK1 1600 and 1800cc cars which were also great in their day.
Whenever I see an MST video, it’s the fastest I’ll ever click. Can’t wait to see on the road reviews of this one, preferably with Johnny from the late brake show, hopefully he gets dry roads for it.
@@MST_Cars Be great to get Jonny on it again, but getting one Mr Harris to take it around Pembry or Ty croes to test out the lock stops would be epic.
When I was a boy a neighbour across the street had a mk2 RS x pack. I adored that car spending hours looking at it wandering how fast it was etc. This sends it to the next level eye wateringly beautiful car and I’ll bet it’s built to perform too.
Absolutely stunning! As my favourite Mk2 Escort was my RS2000x, this beaut ticks all of the boxes for me with one minor change for perfection in my eyes. I think that I would have to have a set of wheels in the style of the original 4 spoke RS2000x wheel fitted to mine 👌🏻
15 years I've dreamt of road going MkII with series X kit and independent rear suspension, like Phil Collins rally car and a Millington Diamond block. I remember Car and Car Conversion 1977 Bjorn Waldegard driving the group 1 RS2000 with series X kit and have loved the look ever since. May have to save a few penny's for this one.
Just been on the website after clicking the link , absolutely weird seeing a 71 reg Mk1 & a 70 reg Mk2 as they look so alike to the classic , it’s really good to see older classics “based on” back in production not that I’ve seen one yet on our roads but the video says it all . I think we’ll be seeing more of these in years to come . Sierra Cosworth ? Also I bet the escort tributes have certainly been a head turner & head scratcher on 2020 & 2021 reg plates 🤙🤗😎
@Sly_Wolf_1 well... if the video had been one and a half minutes of an actual dogs danglies, you might rightly assume that I was after a dogs actual dangly bits. But it's not... is it?
As a JDM and muscle car lover, this car is absolutely perfect! I'm quite poor, so I'll never even own a stock two door Escort. But if things were different, I'd be looking at how I could get one to Australia. Awesome car guys!
Superbly done, however a black line, same thick as the bumper bars could be running down the sides, bumper to bumper. With an Mk2 Evo-X somewhere along the rear of door. The black line could be one thick line with thin outer lines. Ok I want this toy. :)
This is sooooo good looking, just take my money now! Love it. Can’t wait for a review and test drive of this beast with pricing etc. stope with the teasing and let us see more. 😉👏🏼
And now I’ve got a semi. I’ll take mine in Alan Man racing colours please, complete with a screaming Brian Hart BDA and full throttle, full opposite lock out of every roundabout.
MST , This is quality , Top of your game in what you have achieved. Ford fan myself with a 1 of 500 limited edition . Fingers 🤞 crossed for lottery win 😂😂
Great !ooking car ... well done indeed 👍 Many, many moons ago now, my 1st wife, her brother, he owned the white XPack RS seen in the background at the start of the TV series 'Minder' when Terry is looking around a Capri. Oh yes ... I'm proper old 😏
