I have one of the first ones ever made and it has worked flawlessly. No bending over like the imported junk at the farm stores. I have a 5 way splitter.
Well from the 8 Minutes and 49 seconds I have seen I can say this. The wood splitter seems to be having a hard time pushing logs through and you can clearly see how it is struggling . Next is notice how much of the split wood is falling over the side noting they did not have a nice flaring set up so that would not happen. They say you get what you pay for but from this video it would seem more like you are not going to get even close to what you paid for. Knowing the issues just in the first 10 minutes you would think they would have addressed the issues before making the video. My vote would be Eastern Made. The simple little things I have pointed out would have been fixed before Eastern Made sold it and they would fix any problem that should happen after you bought it. True you would pay more but in the long run it would be well worth it.
The things that hurt a box wedge, a) timber getting jammed in the sides of the out chute,,, which it looks like this machine adressed. B) the operator not taking 3 seconds to remove any shavings or quater inch thick bits that are stuck at a weird angle,,, the operator didn't remove thise a few times and the machine groaned. It nearly doubles the splitting force required and its only a small piece of shaving. Nice machine
i had one of these machines from this company wood got jammed up in the wedges all the time! and wedges bent up badly they had the send out replacmend wedges! and created alot of wast! i sold it!
Beautiful machine it did a good job in splitting but the only thing I didn't like was the firewood falling to the side, as a manufacturer I'm sure you can come up with a diverters plate on the side of the grizzly bars to keep the wood on the conveyor. Thank you for sharing a quality machine.
@@tomblack4796I would have thought that it would have 2 4 inch cylinders but I was waiting on it to kick in a second stage to bust them and then go in full steam ahead
@@randywilson6869 It is making 4 or 5 pieces of perfect sized wood per push and shoot did you see the retract time? That thing cooks pretty good. Once I sell all my wood, this machine is high on my list.
Great machine but what a lot of machines need is a second log lift handle so a second person could use the lift wile one is working the splitting so u don’t have to wait for the person to lift or drop it
That sounds cool so where do you think it might be? I’m wondering if could just add 1 where either person could grab it I’m thinking a 2 stage pump and yes I think this might be his first time operating it I thought if he would drop it and let him load that sucker up then maybe the second guy could keep up
Its about time someone makes a real box splitter in North America. I thought I would need to buy a Raptor splitter to get a real box splitter.. Now all you need to do is make that pull back arm spring loaded and get rid of the Honda crap
That machine is sick! I’d be tempted to see a diesel on it without the two stage pump. Really flies when it’s in the first stage. But I’m sure that makes the price go way up
I like the concept of this splitter. Would like to know what kind of wood your splitting and would also like to see the smaller wedge in action. Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Very nice splitter and great speed except the pushing part and the wood coming out the side. I think the splitter design needs to be looked at.... I am actually looking for this kind of setup but split like 19 pieces at once . I cut trees for a living so I bring all sizes back home.
When the rounds were good and straight it split plenty fast, knotty not so. But what wood was it? Dumping new roundson top of slash in the chamber doesn't help. Like to see another vid with say ash or cherry and not bone dry. Cheers from HB NZ
I think that wood splitter needs stronger hydraulics. It makes some nice looking firewood but it also makes a lot of what I call ugly firewood. Personally I’m not overly impressed with this machine. It might be the type of wood but it seems to have trouble splitting some of it. The best thing about box splitters is you don’t have to worry about re-splitting which makes them faster.
I'm only 5 minutes into the video and can tell this box splitter is WAY underpowered. Add 10 horse and try again. Wouldn't pay $9k for it let alone $15k. However, it did get the job done and that's what it's all about.
2 things I see that boy running that thing is an accident waiting to happen and I dont know what you are splitting but ether your pump aint big enough or your motor is to small.. just my humble opinion,, Over all Im not real ompressed
I wouldn't buy that if I needed a splitter. Engine is grunting most of the time and too much back and forth action. Get a bigger engine and put a knife on there that will split in eight pieces on one push. Fill that trailer in half the time! Address that stuff that falls off too. That was all easy Maple, lets see how it handles Oak or Elm. Do like those squares it produces.
I would not buy it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
