Padres fan and San Diego native here! If you go to Petco Park you HAVE to get the BBQ Tri Tip Nachos! They sell them all over the ballpark! Also, if you're a beer fan, you must get a .394 pale ale. It's the beer Tony Gwynn brewed in collaboration with AleSmith just a few years before he passed away. It's named after his 1994 season when that was his batting average (which is still absolutely unreal and doesn't get talked about enough). I hope to see you at Petco man! :)
How could you forget Padres legend Jake Arrieta? Kidding of course, but he did make a few starts last year, and his 99 is better than any other ex-Padre
Love it Koogs! As a lifetime Padre fan, I absolutely love when you do any Padre-relatwd content. I've always dug the All-Time Team series, and this video was ridiculous! 🔥⚾️#slamdiego Petco Park is absolutely beautiful, and I'm excited for you to experience it! I definitely recommend: Tri-Tip Nachos Burger and fries from Hodad's Anything from Randy Jones BBQ All San Diego craft beers (including the .394 pale ale (Tony Gwynn's 1994 average) and the Swingin' Friar Ale They even have an all-you-can-eat section where you can get all-you-can-eat Hot Dogs until the 7th inning! I enjoy all content from you Koogs, keep doing you my dude!
Is that 3 home runs in this video already what is going on I’m diving I don’t care WELCOME TO THE CRONE ZONE! This dude is not from planet earth Greg Maddux you can’t just do that no way no way no way I don’t think this all time Padres video could be going any better 😀
Padres fan here - when you go to Petco sit in the Toyota terrace, awesome view and of the entire field. Food wise…. Tri-Tip nachos, or just go get a cheeseburger from the HoDads at the park. Petco is the best stadium out there, enjoy it brother!!
Originally from San Diego got to have Mexican food while you’re there. As a Padres fan there are many retired players I want in Diamond Dynasty but the top of my list would be Jake Peavy.
Koogs I got you on the food: 1. If you want burgers, grab hodads, they have two spots around the stadium. 2. If you're feeling a sandwich, get board and brew. 3. If you want pizza, Buona forchetta is the spot. 4. Best garlic fries are at grand ole bbq. Puestos tacos are also fire. 5. Get Cardiff crack nachos anywhere that has it, trust. 594 is a good cheap beer option, but ballast point is a great option for craft beer. Hope to run into you at a game this year koogs! It's a beautiful ballpark, second only to oracle in SF imo (I am biased as a Giants fan tho).
Actually I forgot I put Mark Prior in for Musgrove. He was Padres property for a year or two, but never made an appearance because of injury, then retired
My rotation is Arrieta, Maddux, Darvish, Fernando Venazula, and Mark Prior. Snell is in the bullpen for the 2nd lefty. I did P5 Maddux and Musgrove, as well Finest Fernando and Matt Kemps 99. Working on Mark Prior and Jake Croneworth, Tony Gwynn, Hunter Renfroe, Mike Piazza, CJ Abrams right now.
Koogs, I'm born and raised in San Diego. Food to eat koogs, Grand Ole Barbecue, Hodads, Pizza Port. Try all of it. Every single restaurant is local. Enjoy
Tri Tip Nachos are my favorite. Most of the food is not your traditional ballpark food too, they also change a few spots out each year so not sure what changes have been made but if you end up with a hot dog, you are not doing the park right.
hey i live in oceanside. hopefully you can come to a game this season. i’ve been to lots of games at petco and it’s a really fun environment. my favorite food is the cheesesteaks in the 2nd level left field
The best food there is is the good delicious tacos when I try them I just want more and more and more but I don’t know where that I forgot or they are so sorry
I went to my 1st game at Petco Park, it was truly amazing… I’m from Philly but the food stands stopped serving because the computers went out back in August when they play the Phillies… I’m a Padres fan tho
He has his moments for sure. He was really glitchy for me at the start but cooled off. batting 539 on rookie but majority of his at bats were on directional. I just switched to zone hitting.
