Can't beat it, join it, why should we play at a disadvantage, until they make a solution, that's on the dev. Don't get me wrong. I fully support they need to come out with something to limit to one account/one character. I don't like this multiple account either but I also don't like to lose or fall behind. So until then, if I can't beat it, I'll join it and hopefully rh problem become so big they have to fix it
the fun thing big guilds and streamers are doing is cycling people from a main warband to an alt warband, donating in the alt warband, and then going back to the main warband. and having an alt warband that can bid on the main warbands territory to stop people from attacking it. ban all alt accounts.
Pretty sure you cant donate to another warband once u donated to ur own warband that week. Unless im tripping how defuq do u rotate to another warband to donate when there is a limit?
One of the problems, in my opinion, of single-only players playing MMORPGs. The truth is an MMORPGs needs both single players and those who actually are willing to play with others and form a community. Hopefully the developers/publisher improve upon the game for the betterment of all player types.
I think it is a gameplay issue in general. Game do not require anything from you to play in a group. The mobs and bosses are just too easy. There is no actual group events or dungeons that you can not do solo besides prime wars in pve and these pvp specific events (warband fights or smthng). Ofc people will do everything on their own, why would you rely on anyone?

I have 2 accounts mostly because I like leveling up characters. It can honestly be pretty fun to manage both the bases and you can make a mega building out of the 2 bases.
the thing is, there are specialties for acid/oil farming, combine with another specialties that you won't be needing an alt account, i personally have sulfur chemist where i can synthesize sulfure and energy link for acid, and also i have the rare crystal specialty if i need a boost for energy link, so those 2 specialties coexist that i won't be needing alts. but that being said, considering that specialties are random and will reset per season, then alt account is the way if you're just unlucky. i just hope that they make the truck's territory a lot better and we won't be needing alt accounts just to oil/acid farm.. currently you can't build a water pump to it, so it would make sense if we can since we can build a car and a truck at the same time
A simple solution would be to just let us have up to 2 or 3 territories like you can in Palworld.. maybe cut down on the height and plot size limit a bit so builds don't get out of hand. Moving your whole base from place to place is a cool feature, but absolutely cumbersome and restrictive imo.

I see no issue with this. You still need to do some work to make your alt work, unless you just want to extend your base and that's it. To make it functional you need to spend 2x more time than others and that is your benefit, basically. And, what's not fun about it? The point is to be self-sufficient, and this is hella fun. Have you seen these trading jeeps in Blackfell? I am not going there anymore, this is a mess this is not fun. Make an actual Auction house for all the trading, then we can speak about the alts issue. The only issue I see when people do it like you, just 4 stack the platforms and never be creative. I can't get everything in one place, as you have said, so I make a tiny base somewhere else in sake of getting freaking water for my main base, or fuel, or anything that is lacking in my main vicinity. This is a part of experience and playing the game, I'd say. You still play the game on both account and that is not an abuse but a benefit of spending MORE time than others.
This game is not for people who have an actual daily job and don't want to spend every minute of their off time on. Sweaty as hell. Who in their right mind has the time to level up two or more accounts just to have everything you need..... I'll tell you, people who have no actual jobs and no life.
I can't rn 😂 I have a job 85 hrs every 2 weeks and play on a PVP server take a break and come back and boom your good acid farm is great with 9 pumps it's not meant to be played like this and are ruining it for other players that actually want to play together

the thing is you dont need to you just give permission to the main account to use the alt's base like a owner boom you have 2 bases lol do 1 for acid do 1 for oil and see how the server population goes to dust
@@2salzig2spucknapp I get acid and oil on one account. Water pumps in ground in polluted area. I get crude oil and acid. the only thing I don't get from it is purified water, so I teleport to a cave, collect thousands afk, put through a purifier back at base, wake up to thousands.
so let me get this straight. You built an alt account because you couldnt get water? You literally just press G and walk away and you can have all the water you want lol.
The point of the game is to have everything fully automated and supplied when you are offline, so by the time you get back online, you have everything prepared for your gaming session and you don't need to do all these boring routines besides collecting and replanting stuff. That's the point. You can go and press G all day long, not my business, but I find this less efficient, and the point of the game is to optimize everything to your benefit.
I like the fact you complaine about it but still abuse the system, Where is the logic here ?, Im on a pvp server and i dont have an alt account, Be in a prober warband/hive that work togeather and you wont need this at all, Only headache this is providing is a constant tought of having to logg and alt ore half your base and production will be gone, Clearly he dident play D2 back in the day, Why dont you just have 10 accounts and make it 10 plots big cus its sooo op right ?
Look man I'm going to be honest you're being way to harsh on this game the alt account's does not affect normal play dude keep in mind to even have an alt account you have to go through the same hassle of leveling, tasks all that and blueprints / gear / etc doesn't go on your account so it's kinda more of a headache than benefit playing twice and grinding by the time someone gets their alt level to 50 I'm going to be the strongest player on the server by the time u get your alt to level 50.

Just curious but how would you block this on a FTP game? IP Banning? That would be an issue for some folks, myself included as my daughter plays with me and we are on the same network...you could restrict what a user can do at someone else's base but that creates a big issue for myself and others as it seriously complicates genuine communal play.
Crazy thing, maybe just play the game as intended and not be a sweat and the game is less stressful, imagine that. Sorry but all i heard this whole time is someone who is literally trying to compete with a hive of players, SOLO, and complaining about what u had to do to be "competitive" not to mention just press p to turn the shit off if u are wanting to interact with people without getting shot in the face. And u literally brought ptsd from other pvp games into this 1, multi boxxing has ALWAYS been taboo in mmo's where pvp is involved, and guess what, ur part of the problem, as is all the streamers u r literally copying.
I don't have alts, but I have friends. We form a self sustaining group and want for nothing in terms of resources. It makes bartering pointless. I tried to offer my service to build maxed out generators and when I am asked what do I want in return, I cannot answer because I lack nothing. I feel like it does take out an aspect of community barter in the game. Very soon I can see this game just becomes a cycle of rush for resource, wealth accumulation and clear content.
I honestly dont mind it as it allows the try-hards to 'try-hard' and make the cost of mats/resources cheaper for the more casual player BUT it affecting people not being able to join servers with their friends or even some massive groups(there are a few) just dominating a server with alt accounts and creating 'dead' servers is the big problem i see and needs to be changed asap. edit: forgot to add this but its good to see people publicly talk about the issue, game is good but needs to tweak a few things just dont want another New World.
You can always manage to join the server with your friends if you are not slacking and thinking that the game will be waiting when you are ready. You have clear sign-up time to do so. Just signup together, not like "Oh, I have so many things to do in my life, so now I gonna complain about me not getting to server with my friends because of that..." You are either locked in or stay behind, in game, in life, doesn't matter. Do what you are interested in, but don't complain then. Then, you have spoken about the group of people with alts dominating the server. Here is my case. On a phase shift from 1 to 2 you get blackfell oilfield opened. I went there in 10 minutes after the phase shifts and what I saw amazed me: 20-30 people were already there claiming the most beneficial spots around and I realized that I am just late! - That is an experience for my next server sign up, I won't fuck up, but this is not an issue in any way.
@@FXtrtzor you probably don’t understand but back at the start of the game there were no signups, servers were just created and being locked just as fast, this caused a lot of problems (look when it was posted). There were no sign ups or invite codes, a lot of QOL changes were made to the game since then but don’t be a dumbass and talk about stuff you clearly have no clue about. This is about people locking servers in a matter of hrs during launch and if they didn’t get all their alts+friends in the same server they would abandon the server creating ghost servers. Looks like you play pve servers so you won’t understand how this affects pvp.

You are about 2months too late to this discussion.Also you are on a pve server so number of players dont really matter but in a pvp server being on a dead realm feels like shit since only content there was(back then) was player interaction gameplay. Banning alts in my opinion is definitely a lazy way to do it. This company has the power to remove server cap for their game and they have our money to make it happen. What do you guys think about this?
alts are the bane of all mmos, if you don't like it don't do it, you don't have to do it especially if you say you don't like it. and yes it should be banned or at least against tos or not posible at all
Don't worry after the first wipe the game will die because starry studios are being vague about the details of things in the wipes even though they gave some basic explanation
What do you recommend for the alt strat? I’m at Blackfell oil field where I can pump oil and acid… I’m new, level 40, alt level 5. My warband is full of grinders so I’m trying to get good gear etc. so I can do activities with them. Do I get alt to level 30 and put the oil/acid farm on it, just out all of the farming stuff on it? Idk what to split between them
Truth is, having alts isn't negatively effecting the game. You can choose to make an alt to passive farm(I personally have an oil alt took me about 2 and a half hours to get to level 35 to check meme specs) and build the base. And I didnt really even need to do that, I coulda just left it at level 1 and brought mats on my main. But the same amount of oil I make passively through the day, I could get by making a car trunk oil run. That's really not gon making or breaking a game. Ontop of it dirty water, you can literally teleport, get in the water press G, and afk for 5-6 minutes, teleport back to your base, or ya'know make a few rain catchers in a non polluted spot? If your building in a polluted spot you should always build half way into it and half way out. Ontop of it there's a few polluted, oil spots you could also build at, and get acid and oil at the same time. Plus all these extra resources aren't really helping in PvP. It'd be different if you had a bot playing an alt account, while you played legit. But that'd be a bot problem. Def making a big fuss out of nothing. And they already said they are gonna add a "invite friend to your server" In the end this game is a solo game with multiplayer aspects. Ontop of it facility spec wise you don't even need an alt, you can just ask someone to build some things for you in your base, like most non-alt players.
Any game that has crafting restrictions or limitations and randomized game affecting traits is ripe for alts. PVE needs acid, water, food and crops as much and PVP does, don't fool yourself.
What determines how much polluted water or dirty water you get from a pump? I built in a polluted zone, I get some polluted water, but I now have 4 water storages full of purified water and cant get rid of it xD

@@cptadorable5654 I mean, consider this guy really dont have a clue what hes talking about. The only time its OP is when you hit all the good perks across multiple accounts. So you can get triple buffed foundries and cook stations, sulfer chemist and Super refineries... all the good stuff and then work all that yourself. but like, thats a lot of work... 900 acid a day is slow af. I actually dont know anyone pulling that much though, because the ratios and process time are very slow. I calculated like 42 per hour, on a good setup. Oh, i guess tahts like 840 a day! Two accounts could do 1600! Meanwhile, i make 4000 acid every 8 hours.

people definitely know that you can make multiple accounts for free on a free to play game, and its a problem, getting FOMO due to only playing on your main is brutal
