@@isaaca6445 Nothing wrong! If you can love yourself into achieving your goals, then you are a very lucky person, I wish that worked for me. Some of us just need a strategy outside of ourselves.

Some people like you (I speak very respectfully) think that it is impossible to love ourselves, just because they don't know how to. We think that visit a psychologist is just for the weak ones. The reality is that self-love is sometimes a hard way, but we'll never be "happy" and achieve anything in life if we don't love ourselves. How can you love someone is we don't love ourselves? We think we love someone, but the reality is that we get happier when we are close to them...that's dependency, a love expecting something. A very immature way to love. Once we truly love ourselves, we can experience the real love because people are just a mirror of ourselves. Sorry for the long text!!! But this is a summary of many books I've read in the last 6 months...after reaching the lowest point in my life. And today I can tell you that the self-love is the most important power on earth.. If we love ourselves, genuinely.. We'll never hate someone... there will be no wars. People need more loving people!! hugs ☺

Just ignore that bit and accept the fact that the alter ego effect works for some very successful people

I think his point was that your alter ego's story is its lifeblood. It does not have to be realistic - see the example he gave with Kobe's alter ego being a black mamba - but it does needs to be powerful. So even if you know (logically) that you already use 100% of your brain, the idea of an alter ego character who takes a magic pill that unlocks their full potential can still be effective.

@@Tolkfie In the book he mentions one sportsman using Mike Myers as his alter ego for when he's playing the game. A relentless and single-minded individual who only focuses on one thing.

@@Tolkfie The idea is to take different characteristics from different characters that you can use for yourself in the situations you find yourself in. It's pretty eempowering
