You can get the Thermaltake H17 for ~$30 and it’s actually really good. It’s got nice cable management and no bare metal and it’s minimalistic.

I use the foot save technique and it has saved my phone more times then I can count. I’d rather it fall 4’ to my foot and 1’ to the ground rather then 5’ straight to the ground.

Not a good tactic if droping a knife and you wearing sandals! Almost did that once out of a pure reflex, but switched to correct reflex for sharp pointy things closing in on your soft meaty bits and jumped backwards instead. So, chose your reflexes wisely!

TBF you need some coordination. I used to play football as a kid (soccer to Americans) so I've always caught stuff doing this, most of the time stuff doesn't even hit the floor if I drop it. Hope they at least get along better than Jamie and Adam did tho. The Mythbusters duo actually hated each other, they weren't the friends they seemed to be on air. It's pretty much why you don't see them in anything together anymore. Adam has talked about that quite a bit.

Well, for 16$, this case is pretty darn good ! I think it's a well thought case for that price and since people that will but this won't put a 3090 in it, the acrylic will resist most of the gpus we find today, and I don't think people will move it that often, I see the flexibility of the acrylic as a minor disagreement. Plus, it comes with front IO (which is smth 200$ testbench don't have )and decent design for something that cheap so in my opinion, it's a pretty good deal

Basically there's Chinese (Traditional) which Taiwan uses and Chinese (Simplified) which most Asian countries and China use. It's kinda similar in the sense that if you know one, you probably know some of the other but...

@魏銘廷 We should make it clear. We can read Simplified Chinese because we have enough exposure (most likely Internet). Not because they are the same. Yes, they are similar. But many Chinese characters are similar already. It is not that intuitive to read the other variation. e.g. 學(T.Chi) vs 学(S.Chi). They are the character "Learn". Do they look similar? If yes, what about 字(Word)/宇(Space)? They look more similar. If that character 学 is used in a passage, maybe we can get it from context. If it's a name, then we'll have no clue if we have no experience on Simplified Chinese.

@@_Egitor when it's labled on the lid, you can leave the lid open and see what screw is wich. No need to close, check what screw, then open again. It is an industry standard for that type of bins. Be it for o-rings, snap rings, arbor keys, fuses, small screws/nuts, circlips.... And on and on

Yeah, that was a silly complaint on his part. That said, they shouldn't have left the top blank. Humans are drawn towards visual interest, so the blank top leads them to flip it over. However, the label is in the best position. And the latch that holds the box closed was oriented in the most natural way as well, being pulled up to open the box. That latch should have been the first clue. And a huge one. The complaint about the position of the label also puts him in the minority. But the blank top REALLY does help people make that mistake. Simply printing top on the back side of that label, or anything really, would nearly prevent that from happening.

They're often distracted by their own thoughts or so incredibly bored by mundane things that they stop paying attention, leading to negligence. You'd be surprised by the amount of people over 130 IQ who can't even dress themselves properly. Ignoring all that, stupid people will use your products. And a stupid, unhappy customer is still an unhappy customer. So its in the best interest of the company to account for that the best they can without making things worse for the rest of the customer base.

I essentially did the same thing when building a barebones bench myself - just with wood instead of metal (I did run cabling wherever it was expecting a metal-to-metal connection). I did salvage a slot-plate from an old PC case because I had like three of those, and they were just taking up space at this point (they were already worthless back in 2005). Works well enough... but I wouldn't trust them to weather day-to-day swapping all too well. Still, at $200 a pop that's still more than week's salary for me, so - wood it is.
