This movie was so good!!!! Even though it failed at the box office. It had a good story line!!! I would rather watch this movie a hundred times than some of these films they have out now!! Cary Grant was excellent in this film, he was handsomely young and vibrant!!! His acting abilities were so good he can be in drama as well as comedy. Cary knew what or what not to bring into his characters superb and genius!!!!😘

Yes, and Penny Serenade rocked. My personal Cary Grant favourite is Born To Be Bad, partly because of Loretta Young's performance. It (the BTBB movie) was quite "overacted" at times, but that fact is easily ignored by the sentiment & subtle meanings throughout. But yes, Penny Serenade is SO heart wrenching my beautiful. Thanks for this one though, Mr Bliss is such a lovely character, Mr Grant does "him" proud! 💖

This movie was one of the greatest Classics of Cary Grant's career. I was born in 1954, this movie was made in 1936, and when I saw it here in the year 2000 it blew me away, what a classic, what a Timeless movie, brings me to tears every time I watch it. Thank you very much (Timeless Classic Movies), for uploading this wonderful classic, of Cary Grant's Movie, ( The Amazing Adventure, Of Ernest Bliss). My dream is, I wish that all rich people, would watch this movie and learn from this movie, the way that people should be treated that are less unfortunate than they are. Which would turn things drastically around to help those that are in need. PS. By the way, you wouldn't happen to have the classic movie called (Sister Kenny) performed by Rosalind Russell. I would love to see that movie as well. That too is a wonderful Classic Movie, a Real Life, True Story.

Valerie Mac Fair In another comment you said this is a “silly story made watchable only by Grant’s extreme poise, charm, and acting.” What was obvious to me, and few other people, was a Biblical teaching lesson in compassion, kindness, and love towards fellow human beings. Your observations are that the movie is silly and frivolous. You don’t seem to see the deeper meaning of the story. This saddens me, that’s all.

Sigh, I wish people still treated each other this way. Every day it seems this world is going further down into the abyss. Sure I know there have always been mean, selfish dolts out there, but today it seems they are more prevalent. It makes me wish for simpler times when I was younger. In the mean time I will relish Cary Grant movies and keep a stiff upper lip that things will turn around and people could be happier and nicer to each other. Lisa T Strange you should say that. I've been encountering chronic complainers, and these are all strangers. For example, I was feeding seagulls in a remote section of the parking lot where people DON'T park. A bozo pulled up and threatened to 'report' me. The seagulls have been hanging out LONG before I ever came along.
@lisat9322
@lisat9322 9 лет назад
evimlck- I hear you there. Everyone's going to report someone for something these days. They all think they're in the Gestapo or something. I wonder if it's because the Obama WH encourages this type of behavior? He and the left generally want to control every aspect of our lives and they want their base to "say something if they see something". Totalitarianism at it's finest. Hell, kids aren't even allowed to brown bag their lunch at school without some nanny state approved idiot looking in the bag or taking it away if it has a cookie in it. It's a disgusting farce.

I'm sorry, but I don't let idiots like you define who I am. You keep sucking up the Kool-Aid and you'll find out what kind of haters the left really are once they have you where they want you...under their boot. You are a fool. Look to history to see what leftists do to their useful idiots once they are done with them.

Full of life's lessons. 1936 vs today, it hasn't changed, women will continue to drop you like a hot stone if you don't have enough money.
