Gansu, from South to North (part 1). In the town of Xiahe, southern Gansu Province, China is the wonderful Labrang Monastery. Southern Gansu has a large Ethnically Tibetan population and numerous Monasteries - but none quite like Labrang.
Labrang is one of the 6 Great Monasteries of the Gelug sect (Yellow Hat) of Tibetan Buddhism and is a true pleasure to explore.
