@NhanNguyen-ti1yr I hear you. This what prayer does for people. You and I know they don't deserve forgiveness but I after coming to kind of grasp what separation from God is. I don't want any person who even has done evil to have that! I want the devil to suffer the punishment he deserves. For killing my brothers and sisters on earth and deceiving them and where they end up is in Hell for now. And then The Lake of Fire. I want people to get saved and the devil continue to feel like the lover he actually is.

The hurtful words that man felt he deserved so he didn't flinch. It was when he heard Gods forgiveness that broke him down. The opposite had more effect. Forgiveness is key to your own sanity. It also sets some free.

Does he have peace though? Nothing about him or his demeanor says peace to me. I think he wants to forgive but maybe he is forcing it before he is ready. To me, that’s worse than not forgiving at all because it does nothing for you, the person forgiveness is supposed to set free/

I pray for the lord to help me forgive a particular person that wronged me very badly. I pray for this person daily and I ask God to help me let go of all the bitterness and anger that I have in my heart towards this individual. When I pray God to bless this person is like swallowing a tablespoon of sand ( that's how unpleasant it is for me) but I know is the best thing I can do towards my healing journey
What helped me was facing my own sin and how hurtful it was (is) to another, but especially God and how much Jesus suffered to forgive me. If Jesus forgave me how could I deny the same for someone else? You dont have to trust that person or be friends with them you just let go of being their judge and jury.
I'm 38 years old. It took me until 11 days ago to finally learn how to forgive all those that had abused me mentally, physically and sexually since childhood. Once I did that my entire life has completely changed and I no longer walk around with so much anger and resentment in my heart. My relationship with my husband is finally at peace. It all came from finding forgiveness and then finding Jesus. ❤❤❤

Forgiving is easy, quick, and painless. Hating takes effort, constant reminders, and it poisons you. Forgiveness is not for the offender it's for the offended. Without forgiveness, you're destined to become like those you hate and God will never forgive you.
I forgive people who have hurt me but I’m learning to forgive myself. I’ve been down a long road of selfish living and hurting people who have loved me . Forgiving myself has by far been harder for me than forgiving others. I love you Jesus.

God has forgiven you. You just have to accept that. Did you deserve God's forgiveness? No, that's why it's so great. Forgiving ourselves is the hardest part. Basically you just live with what you have done because you will still remember it. Try not to be so hard on yourself and learn from it and don't do it again.
It’s Jesus who forgives, you only ‘accept’ that forgiveness for yourself, if you have repented with sincere sorrow for the damage you did to others and your own soul. You cannot forgive yourself.
I dont think that I have ever forgiven anyone in my life. Instead, I just accept what they have done and move on, and make sure that I keep an eye on that person. Their transgression is still a penalty against them.
The key is to forgive everyday even when you don’t feel it and repeat the word of God that counterpoints the feeling that you are having. For example, if you feel hate, repeat the words of Jesus about love and forgiveness, and how in the cross he forgave those who were literally mocking him at the moment. Do that with every feeling that doesn’t align with the Word of God and you’ll be free. And when it tries to come back, repeat again the Word! I pray to our Father that you are free, just as He freed me ❤

You’ve got this by the grace of God. I was kidnapped and held for 33 days by a relative who had been molesting me from the age of 3 1/2. Years later I received a letter from him asking if I could ever forgive him for what he had done. I told him I had forgiven him at least twelve years prior. I then said “It must have been difficult for you to live with the guilt all these years and I want you to know that because of the role that you played in my life I became a very strong woman that has been able to help so many others get past their crisis. So, thank you for playing such a hard part in this lifetime. You and I will never be in conflict again because Christ taught me how to forgive you.” The craziest twist is that when my husband passed from a massive heart attack, it was this same relative that stayed on the phone with me for the first three nights just so I could hear someone else breathing. He knew I felt completely devastated and he blessed my life by being there when I needed someone. He passed away 5 months later with a peaceful heart and mind. Forgiveness is amazing when achieved.

Amen, my son was assassinated and I am not going to let it define my life. I forgive him. I will never forget what he has done. I love a wonderful amazing son thatvwas so young and had his whole life ahead of him and was wanting to make a family with his fiance. He took a big part of me and it died that day. 💔 😢 but God says to forgive to be free and my son wouldnt want me to live a unhappy life.

I forgive my husband for moving on. We lived in a toxic narcissistic marriage that unfortunately came to an end. Do people know that this man was a serial killer? He killed 71 women and teenage girls. This father lost a daughter to murder, and he's forgiving her killer. That is not true. It actually helps you not to continue enabling yourself from still living a beautiful fulfilled life even after a tragic incident. Of course as a human It’s hard to fathom so only through Jesus Christ can anyone truly break free & wholeheartedly forgive & keep living a joyous life. Jesus knows this because it happened to Him, He was crucified for our sins, He also forgave me my sins, does that mean He’s enabled me? No that hasn’t enabled me😊 From where I came from to where I am now, no one believes me when I tell them of my horrible past. He leads by example therefore I too need to do the same. One of the best gift God ever gave us is the gift of forgiveness. We ought to share that gift. I pray that the Holy Spirit will work in me everyday so I could share forgiveness everyday.

Amen. I was just telling my 18 year old son this today. My sister & her husband was murdered 12 years ago. I went 12 years not being able to forgive the people who killed them. Back here in August of this year, I made a post telling the people who took them away from us. I told them that I truly forgive them. I meant that from the bottom of my heart. I also told the person that raped me that I forgive him as well. I felt a sense of peace come over my body. I could not let them to continue to control my life. I had to let it go & allow the most high come in & free me.. & no one hasn't been charged for their murder yet. But I still forgive them, because the most high forgave me.. I didn't kill anyone nor did I rape anyone but I haven't lived a life that I feel is pleasing to the Lord. But he still forgave me for my wrong doings.. Our flesh wants to hate, wants revenge, etc...but our spirit foregives those that tresspass against us, thats not to say you allow others to defile you, disrespect you or take advantage of you...Jesus in John chapter 2, we still need to maintain ourselves and cleanse ourselves of others around us

Amen! I was raped when I was 16. I hated the guy, wished all sorts of cruelty on him. Meanwhile, my life was being destroyed. By the hatred I was carrying. Forgiving was difficult, but it freed me, too! ❤The Father’s love is powerful! Jesus displayed that love! The Holy Spirit can teach us and empower us to walk in that love, so we can forgive! ❤

I was also mentally and physically abused throughout my life, resentment, hate and pure fury destroyed my life and I lost everything, loved ones, job, friends everything. Then I was walking around in a daze many times, no direction just hoping to find an answer and then one moment I dropped to my knees and gave up and cried out for help from my very soul. I didn't believe in God as such before that and I didn't know what or who I was crying out to for help That cry was answered as God led me on a path of salvation, healing me of all the hatred which was turned into the love of God that passes all understanding, I now loved the ones who hurt me and my relationship with my father was healed, I had several good years with him before he passed on and I will always be so grateful to God for everything. Hatred and resentment are so destructive like poison they take everything from you, forgiveness and healing in reconciliation is the most beautiful thing in Life. Jesus gave His Life for those who were His enemies, even those who murdered Him. Love is the only answer to defeat evil. Praise God
