This is fun watching your journey through this readathon. Slumps are the worst, aren't they? I had a terrible one in May and I'm so glad I found my way out of it. The Rachel Incident is what did it for me - highly recommend when you have the time. The audio is great! And I'm with you on animal abuse. My #1 trigger and I refuse to read or watch anything with it. Take care! 😊
Oh, I'm so glad! I've had a blast with this readathon, I'm a bit sad its ending. Ugh, slumps are awful. I have a bingo prompt to read an Irish author. Once I draw it, The Rachel Incident is one of the options I'm considering, that and The Bee Sting by Paul Murray. Glad to hear the audiobook is good! It's good you know your triggers. Hope you have a wonderful July!
@@toweringtbrI just finished The Bee Sting. After a slow start, it really picked up and was quite propulsive. I alternated between the physical book and the audio. I hope you enjoy whatever you choose! 😊
Yikes what a tough start, glad Soulless bounced you back a bit there despite the miscommunication bits, I have that on my shelf to get to when I need some fluff. Magic for Liars is definitely an acquired taste I think, tho I love it, it does have wide appeal and the marketing for it is a completely different thing than what it is. Sad this section was so meh or disappointing mostly. Big baby cat 😍
Yes, that week was tough. Still trying to break through my slump. Soulless was fun and I read it in one day. Fluff indeed. Yeah, I'll definitely try Sarah Gailey again when I'm less slumpy because I don't feel like I gave her the best chance. Phineas is definitely my cuddle bug!
