One of the major themes of this film was how Peter fought against his limitations between his normal life and Spider-Man, and that's personified best in this fight. When Gwen's hanging from a thread and Goblin's literally got him by the throat, Peter tries to stop the clock gears from cutting the thread. Spider-Man is trying to do the impossible: stop time. The whole sequence, with the gears shuddering and the clock hand twitching, makes it appear as though time is fighting back against Peter as he tries to save Gwen. He can do so many things, some all at the same time, as the films show, but he cannot stop time. That is beyond both him and Spider-Man. So the inevitable happens: Time goes forward, and Gwen dies. Because time stops for nothing, not even Spider-Man.
This scene was my favorite action scene. Even though I was devastated by Gwen dying, the intensity and the "being on the edge of your seat" feeling is what made this scene my favorite. No matter how many people didn't like the movie I love the Amazing Spiderman franchise.
I too felt devasted after seeing Gwen die. It was heartbreaking, and i'm a dude. THAT was great acting coming from both Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone. Brilliantly done. And i too, don't care what others may say. The Amazing Spiderman series are top notch, following the comics. So looking forward to part 3
I respect people's opinions in some sense....but wow...they said spiderman 3 is better than TASM 1 and 2?...seriously?!! need i remind them about that stupid emo peter's dance scene and Venom's short stay and ridiculous death?! it was too friggin rushed! At least TASM 2, despite three villains being in it, was more awesome and convincing. Granted i like how the sandman turn out and the fight between pete and harry were good, but the rest....wow
This song will be awesome in tasm 3 fighting against venom created by the leftovers of oscorp and then venom will make Andrew feel miserable because it makes him remember his lost and then venom will kill the Spider-Man but before he take his large tentacle to destroy him another spider will save Andrew Garfield and that spider will be miles trying to give him support and both will destroy venom and destroy all evidence from oscorp
This movie is the best example of "bad movie, good soundtrack" I can think of. Though, I even have to admit I didn't care for the Electro themes because of the whispering in the background and the sudden dubstep in it...
