The Echills Wood Standard Gauge Weekend is a most eagerly awaited 71/4" gauge model event which, in 2019, was held on the 13th and 14th July. I visited the railway on the Saturday, the day on which visiting owners exercise their locomotives. Twenty-nine locomotives are featured in action with more shown static. These range from A4's, a Duchess and Class 40 diesels down to Great Western 14XX and Great Eastern and Caledonian Railway 0-6-0's. To film the non-stop action I spent seven hours on site shooting 162 sequences which have been edited down to some 72 individual clips.
