The mint ordered coins by the ton back then. They ordered 20 tons of the two pence so 716,800 coin were minted. Imperial weights were used and the coin officially weighed 2oz or two ounces and could also be used as on official weight.

1797 Cartwheel two pence coin is under valued in my opinion, have one that's graded PCGS MS62 brown.
