My thoughts exactly, I hate EVs but you have to appreciate the amount of work going into this project. Most people with EVs would never even think of modifying it 😂
@LostClaw terrible body designs, over complicated wiring systems to repair, more detrimental to the environment to manufacture than petrol cars, obnoxious drivers who think that they dont have to actually drive the vehicle at all with their wonky "automation", costs as much and longer to charge as fuel fill ups, no good infrastructure for them. The list is long, my friend. They're not the future that everyone is banking on it to be.
@@murkadelic422 your right about everything except the pollution part. While they do produce more emissions than ice cars in production they emit about 50-60% less over 10 years and even more over 20 years. So they are better for the environment in the long run. 1 kWh of energy from USA power grid is about 0.83 kg of co2 teslas take 100 kW to charge Gas vehicles take 20 gallons and emit 22 lbs of carbon so if you do the math EVs emit way less even from the grid. Another advantage of EVs would be less pollution locally in city’s and towns which will help cancer rates because ices emit carcinogens. I don’t like the company Tesla but I don’t mind well manufactured EVs. Plus EV batteries are 90% recyclable and all this tech is getting better as we advance.
I think this is the biggest upside of the EV segment right now. Insurance companies are scared to repair them for the risk of battery failure. So lots of them are being totaled with very minimal damage. That allows modders and fabricators to buy these cars with minimum damage and turn them into these things. It's literally like being handed a blank canvas to create your own full-scale model. I could totally see one of these design teams being picked up by an EV manufacturer. It's almost like the early days of video game modding.
This project evolution has been a great pleasure to follow since day one, I do remember the back hesitations, the links between the door and the back, the glass cutting, back light, … you’re a serious builder i can tell you 👍🏻
Been auto mechanic for 24 years. I don’t get excited about much anymore having to do with cars. I was grinning from ear to ear through this whole video.
I bet you guy get a lot of hate because it’s electric. Ignore the haters, this thing is amazing and you guys are very skilled. Keep going and don’t give up
