No body is playing the combo version. I just bought the combo sounds great but hit it hard with a pedal and it rattles I should have gone with head/cab set up. Used a separate speaker cab. No rattle I think Marshall blew it on the combo everything is so close to the speaker returning the combo and may consider ordering the head and 1x 12 cab
Nobody in the US is playing these outside of stores. Everytime I see a Marshall for sale at my nearest guitar stores, it’s there for MONTHS. They’ve simply priced themselves out of the market in the US, since people would rather just buy a Friedman or a clone, both handwired for less money. Even the lower end Marshalls take forever to sell new these days because a DSL is around 700 new. It really sucks because the Americans that love Marshall can’t reasonably justify buying these recreations of Marshall’s history, especially when there’s just better options at the price point. I really do hope Marshall sets up a proper distribution network in the states because I’d really have liked if an SV20 costs $799 like it does in Europe, but it is what it is.
@@gbrt9569 wound up getting the 1974X extension cab and 20 watt plexi head. Definitely keep up with my Drummer now. Price came down so much on that speaker cabinet. I couldn’t resist.
Ironically, I also had a 15 W Magnatone super 15 and that one started to rattle finally got some good L 84 tubes no more rattle so I could be wrong about combos when you get some good tubes. You’ll probably be OK. Could have Been a bad batch. But the combo definitely would not have enough headroom with a loud drummer the super 15 wasn’t loud enough, but sounds great at low volume gigs without a drummer or just practicing same with the Marshall JTM combo.
900 if you’re in Europe, or a whopping $1750 in the states. Considering you can even get the Marshall reissue for 1200, they’ve priced themselves out of the US. There’s also no point going for the st20 for the wattage, a difference of 10-15watts isn’t going to be that big, either way you NEED an attenuator to use a non master volume Marshall anyway, so there’s literally no point going for the 20 watt one other than weight. Although the full 30 watt one is a lot more faithful to the original, coming with a tube rectifier.
@@watersnortmoment3734 Just like how Mesa, Friedman, Soldano, etc have priced themselves out of Europe? Just buy the alternative where you live and stop whining..
