I would like it if this video reaches out to people and they consider reading Fromm. Thank you for putting him into the radar of potential readers. I'm new to your channel and this is just my second or third video, but I'm glad for the work you're doing. Fromm has been for me a constant source of intellectual sustenance, and his book 'Man for Himself' is among my absolute favourites. As you pointed out, his analysis of the human condition is clear-headed and insightful, and his works are essential reading to anyone who feels lost in this age of consumer capitalism and mass anomie. His vision of humanity, despite being grounded in the humble soil of our imperfections, speaks to what is noble in us. I hope this video encourages people to pick up Fromm and read him.
Thank you for your kind words. I believe Fromm is one of those thinkers who have the insights to save humankind from doom, and who can act as an antidote to the rise of pseudo-gurus. For me, the tryst with Fromm began with his book "The Art of Being" and then I read almost all his works one by one. Thank you once again.
@@thereadingquest3320 Oh yes, he can definitely be an antidote to all the pseudo-guru craze in and around our culture. Glad to hear you were introduced to him through 'The Art of Being'. My first book was 'The Art of Loving', and like you, I came to read almost all his works over time. My pleasure :)
Thanks for making this video, I like when you discuss only one book in video, but please increase the time 11 min is not enough for such topics , please also make video on political literature ❤
