@@TRACKSTravelDocsThank you for the great video about the Achaemenid Persians. but we Also have ancient civilizations from before 5400B.C in Pars provinces of iRAN, like Aryan civilization of Tall-i-bakun and Tall-i jaleyan!! which Darius the great 2450 years ago in "dNA inscription" mentioned his Pars Aryan ethnicity AND "Aryan lineage"! who were the Aryan people of Tall-i-bakun and Tall-jalyan in Pars provinces of iRAN which Achaemenid and Sasanian empire's came from. Can we honestly expect caucasian "scientists" to render a fair and just interpretation of a non-white civilization? I think not! Knowledge of the world is already in big enough shambles, and will be engulfed in an even bigger one as long as caucasian people continue to "discover" and present THEIR insights to the rest of the non-white world.

I enjoyed this documentary. I am from the United States, but I self-educated myself in a love of ancient history, which included an interest in the Persians. I recently saw a travelog on RU-vid that showed a bit of Iran. In truth, it is a beautiful country. It is strange how politics and religion creates enemies. I guess all civilizations have their high points and their falls.. (maybe multiple times). I suppose that my country will do the same. What endures really is the beauty of the people, the land, the cultural highlights that they give to the World. It seems strange to me that Iran is such an enemy here currently or China or Russia or Cuba. Oh well, time will pass. Our relationships and values will change. I don't know that I ever expect total World peace-understanding;; but I think some underappreciated Cultures will be recognized over time for their nobility, creativity, and contribution to Humanity. I think we all count, but we have to learn to live together.

I liked the way you connected past to nowadays Iranians. Luxurious taste in daily life of Iranians is still there! The point is that I think most societies, specially west, is heavily biased against! Iranians are keen on colourful, orderly, and clean combinations, from foods to cloths, from floor to ceiling of the houses, all which usually are inferred wrongly! There are lots of things to think and talk! Again, thank you!

À regular visitor to Iran between 1998 and 2002, my last visit in February 2002 will remain forever carved in my memory. That morning I had the privilege, on my 3rd visit to Persepolis, to be totally alone on the entire site. I walked through the ruins of ancient vestibules and corridors, kitchen and library and paid homage to the cliff carved tombs of the great Persian kings, including that of Cyrus the Great, unifier of the Pars tribes, in Pasargades. Only a solitary visit to the towers of silence of Yazd at sunset in 1998 possibly managed to match the emotions I felt at Persepolis. So many fond memories that I’ll have to revive with another trip together with my wife...

@@lwacc You could say the same thing about many ethnic groups that have a glorious past. The Egyptians, Greeks, Italians, Indians, Iraqis, Cambodians, Amerindians -- at one point or another, these people built exceptional civilizations that stood out among their global contemporaries, surpassing most human civilizations in terms of development, science, engineering, mathematics, literature, etc. Therefore, one would think their present people would have an exceptionally advanced nation today. But that's not the case! Even Greece and Italy aren't particularly special or outstanding in terms of modern civilization, and they're the most developed countries I listed! It just goes to show how delicate human civilization truly is.

I am from india and i think.. at that time of world every great empire was like that .. little bit of war and ruthless ness .. bt the only great empires which are today shown to our generation means they were great empires and we should respect that .... history has everything in it and that is greatest part of it so that we could learn something from it....

Fascinating work! It's amazing how clay and buildings can tell us much about a huge empire! but it's devastating how all of this ended. I wonder what would happen to our own civilizations in the next thousand years or so.

Only the remains of marble, granite, carved stone a few bridges and quality metal machinery products would have survived 1,000 years. (and the pyramids) Any concrete or steel buildings and tar roads remaining would be decayed, overgrown. Imagine what nature would do in time. 🤔 Very intriguing 😊

Many saying that Persia is not forgotten, keep in mind that this is the Achaemenid Empire, not the Parthians, Sassanids or especially after. At this time, they were practically masters over the known world, but we have very little records of this specific time period of their history. Not about East vs West, but whether we literally have records of it or not.

In essence the first Magna Carta And bill of rights . These are the only known to present world. Indus, Indo or which was Hindu or Hindia later became India was all the way from Indonesia to Eastern Europe. But the only left today is India. Indonesia means Indus Islands, the center as located on equator line and it should be almost as wide as Russia not the one on present world map made by Mercator Europe since year 1569 they draw too small so they could colonise. Our Ancestors were the roots of world oldest ancient civilization think of before Toba supervolcano eruption of Sumatra Indonesia 74000 years, our Ancestors knew about eruption and they were more advanced than us today and flew towards today Europe, Middle East and America to survive from the mega eruption known in human history. Yet, Indonesia is exactly on center of Equator line of earth, best weather and richest nature worldwide. The present Indonesia is the remaining of past Atlantis. Indonesia has also many volcanoes than any other country in the world. I used to live around the world on my own since child alone, born complete multiracial and multilingual, I made great decision to return to Indonesia after 8 years Europe (The Netherlands, France, etc) and before that Middle East, Asia, etc. Yes, I am fluent in Dutch, Arabic, etc. Indonesia has been contributing so much to the world but forgotten as western and middle eastern domination. Good news is Islam will be wiped out of Indonesia as it doesn't suit our local heritage and it is one of main cause of environmental damages including western influence. #Indonesia #India #Cambodia #Vietnam #Thailand #Malaysia #Indus #indusvalley #indusvalleycivilization #ancientcivilization
