THE ANCIENT CORE HUNT: BotW Relics of the Past 

Mr a game I have a botw challenge for you, the great plateau colliseum challenge, you quickly get off the great plateau sell your essence to the statue at hateno then kill every one in the colliseum...but you can only use the weapons you find on the great plateau, and you can’t use the weapons that the enemy’s drop.

*A-game getting giant ancient core* A-game: ThAtS nOt ThE oNe I wAnTeD Lamborghini girl: ThAtS nOt ThE cOlOr I wAnTeD

A game only guardian stalkers (walking guys) skywatchers (flying guys) and turrets drop ancient cores. Decayed guardians do not (stationary)

Mr A-game:*rarely finds ancient cores and has 12 giant ancient cores* Me:”ancient cores are easy to find, but giant ancient cores aren’t!”

Botw never gets old! 😁 Everyone loves it

Also FYI the guardians that don’t move and the minor test of strength don’t drop ancient cores.

guardian genocide in Relics of the Past for just couple of ancient cores? now that's the most insane thing Agame has done XD

Mr. A game: I've had better luck finding ancient cores from the stalkers that patrol the Hyrule castle town ruins in front of Hyrule castle. Try that next time. You can also try: 1. Making a save 2. Kill the guardian 3. If the guardian doesn't drop an ancient core, reload the save. 4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until success.

This one time when o was new to botw I was getting chased by like 5 or 4 guardians and I was so scared

If you want to farm ancient cores then you need to do some Major Test of Strength shrines. If I remember correctly, those guardians have a 50% drop rate for them. Also, the fact that they made ancient arrows insanely expensive in this build is just pure evil.

Ok....spoiler.....when you get down into that underground area he's in with all the Guardians, if you go along the wall you can walk run around the parameter until you get to a trunk. Collect that item (you'll want it), then work slowly inward knocking off one Guardian at a time till you get to the trunk in the center. Mr. A-Game game is doing it the fun way though! I've done both!

You probably won't read this but the best way to farm ancient cores is by defeating major tests of strength guardians, as they always have a 50 percent chance of dropping them. Just save before fighting them, if they don't drop a core then relead and fight them until they do. They also come back after each blood moon, and also decayed guardians can never drop cores.

Try this: whistle under a guardian: attack it to half health: stasis it: stasis all guardians: and they should fall through the floor:

Do the forgotten temple in Relics of the past!

Just save before you fight a guardian stalker. If it doesn't drop a core just reload and fight again until you get what you want. The stationary guardians do not drop cores.

Mr a game, I got the ancient armor and maxed it out.

Getting giant ancient cores is a real pain. I think I killed EVERY single guardian in Hyrule to get just one giant ancient core, but i got millions of normal ancient cores.

Just sayin' decayed guardians never drop ancient cores, so unless they changed that in the relics of the past mod (which I highly doubt) there is no point attacking them cause they never drop the cores

You need a GIANT ancient core to buy the ancient shield and the ancient bow. To buy the ancient armour you may need small ancient cores. Be greatful for a Giant ancient core. They're the most difficult to find.

Mr. A Game you know every time you fight a guardian you can save before then if it does not give you an ancient core then you can go back to the save and fight it until you get an ancient core

This is a bit late now, but you know you can't get ancient cores from decayed (stationary) guardians and dead guardians, right?

I spent wayyyy too much time killing the legless guardians before I found out that they never have ancient cores, only the stalkers or the flying ones (maybe the sentries?) have cores.

You know the guardians with the legs that wake up when you go near, just use stasis plus on them and they will fall through the ground
