Clapping in theaters can also signal the end of an act/scene and it would make sense for Bonehead to signal such things because many different scenes happen in the opening That I guess it's he's way of saying progress is only going forward but only needs confirmation hence the signal

@@angelaspecialfox_ro289 I think it might be Elias being analogised to being a "deus ex machina". As I think you could argue that Elias could be considered a Deus Ex Machina, as he jumped in out of nowhere to solve many of Chise's issues in season 1. Except in this case he's leaving the stage, meaning that Chise is finally fighting solely under her own power, without the protection of Elias. Obviously in this case the Deus Ex Machina is being invoked in it's literal original sense "God from the machine", in ancient greek theatre the actors playing gods would be lowered down from above by a machine, and being gods they might easily solve problems of the mortal characters in the play, which eventually gave rise to our modern usage of the phrase. Additionally I think the "T pose" is an intentional reference to Jesus on the crucifix given that the creators were seemingly invoking the original meaning of "deus ex machina". Not that Elias is literally Jesus, but just a reference to the imagery. And this is also the first OP where we don't see Elias protecting Chise, the only other time he's in the opening he's watching from afar. So I would say Elias leaving the stage represents Chise finally being able to fight under her own power without the constant supervision of Elias.

Chise would be either Plato or Aristoteles, Elias would be Pythagoras and, funnily enough, ruth would be Diogenes, the philosopher known for being followed around by dogs!

...I genuinely thought it was really obvious who the twist villain was, to the point where I thought the real twist wasn't going to be "who" but "why". I thought that mainly because the show wasn't exactly hiding who the evil mastermind of this season would be and there's only one person connected to them who could be the twist villain. But yeah, the show does provide a good number of red herrings.
