Read the 1830 edition of the book of mormon...It says that Mary is the mother of the very eternal God. JS changed it later-he did four revisions before he died ...

@Gaylen W Quoting Luke 2:11 is incorrect and taking the Bible out of context. How do you explain Luke 2:4, just a few verses earlier? “Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the CITY OF DAVID, WHICH IS CALLED BETHLEHEM, because he was of the house and lineage of David.” (emphasis mine).

@@JhutaNabi The word "at" means close or near by. Bethlehem is near Jerusalem. Therefore the Book of Mormon is correct.

+Scott Goertzen My argument is an old one. Early Christians were accused by the pagans of atheism, because they did not worship idols. Second century Christian apologists, such as Aristides, responded by arguing that polytheism is actually atheism, because Zeus and Apollo were nothing more than "exalted men." The pagans gods were too small to be considered "gods" at all. Dawkins and company have replaced Zeus and Apollo with themselves. They believe they are the arbiters of truth, thus putting themselves in the place of God.

Incorrect. Go read Micah 5:2. The prophecy is the Messiah would be born would be in Bethlehem, not Jerusalem.

+Ashley Gleason, actually the bible has several prophesies that weren't fulfilled. Many prophesies are meant to prevent their dire predictions, by warning people of the consequences of their sins. Jonah is the obvious example. The people repented. Joseph Smith was one of the greatest prophets who ever lived. He had many prophesies, most of which were fulfilled to the letter.

Which of Joseph's prophecies came true? Did ALL of his prophecies come true?
