The National Trust Roman fort of Branodunum has produced some impressive aerial photographs of cropmarks, promising substantial buildings and multiple finds from the second to the fourth centuries AD. Some outstanding geophysics results are also hugely encouraging. If anything it was larger than the current Brancaster. The close proximity of the sea would have been vital to travel and commerce, and there was certainly much marine traffic. Among over 2000 finds are an extremely rare pewter dish, a belt ornament, Roman scale armour, and cockerel spurs indicating cockfighting. They are joined by County Archaeologist David Gurney, Philippa Walton from the British Museum, and Roman finds expert Mark Corney.
Odyssey is your journey into the world of Ancient History; from the dawn of Mesopotamia to the fall of Rome. We'll be bringing you only the best documentaries that journey into the mysteries and ruins of worlds long lost.

From other episodes I've gleaned that they're very careful not to get into the "guts" of very important sites they discover. They respect the work of the other archeologistss who might want to dig these sites and do their own discoveries and write their papers.

That’s why Mick quit the show. In an interview he said, they dumbed down the show by bringing in new hosts, a pretty blond and a good looking guy. They also got rid of some Great people on the show, Stewart, Carenza, Victor, and more. Mick left the show in 2012, unfortunately Mick passed in June 2013. I highly recommend reading up on Mick Aston, to say he lead an interesting life would be quite the understatement!!

to give you perspective. Archaeology is very expensive and for one to happen you have to prove to the foundation that a site is work dging and spending money on. Time team's way of helping is to be the initial archeologists of sites wherein they are unsure whether to pursue or not. basically if TT finds nothing, no harm done as they earn through the show, while if they did find it it gives scientists and foundations opportunity and proof that a place is worth spending more time on.

I wonder if this turns other archeologists stomachs due to the speed and then what seems like a haphazard way of digging. Three days. I wored for an archeological survey in Canada for five years and they were very careful about the sites, but then again most of the sites one still had traditional peoples living nearby etc. and some lands were considered sacred.
