I feel the same!!.. Though I don't have MercX, I'm using the LVX with either the SpecTempus or Merc7 and I'm just like damn, it's hard to justify other delay/verb purchases.. They do SOO much..
I have the cloudburst, just picked up the Mercury X today and contemplating returning the cloudburst. I also don’t think i’ll be in the market for anything remotely close for some time 😅
Mark, I really like the sound of this pedal so different and just a crazy good array of colors and sonic goodness this is a pedal I really need to add to my setup so cool, I'am definitely picking one up soon thanks for this video and content!👍
I needed this cause I haven't fully known how I wanted to adjust a sound which has led to interesting effects. Excited to keep playing with this pedal with a better grasp after seeing your video today.
Its closest competitor as far as I can see is the Hologram Chroma Console. And from every demo I’ve seen, this has much more range on just about every control, but the Chroma Console crushes this when it comes to how it sounds.
played it last year at superbooth. found it a bit mehish. interesting why it took so long to get to you. as a guitarist having an on off with modular synths, i was especially after the filter. found it a bummer that they put res on secondary.
Hi Mark, totally unrelated but. Do you find yourself switching the pedals order often? I'm in between getting the Morningstar ML5 switcher (true bypass, not reorderable) or the ML10X (buffered circuit, reorder capabilities)
It sounds cheap and synthetic compared to the Poly Effects Poly Verbs. Add to that it is pricey and I have heard a dozen that sound easily its equal. Unless you are into into Shoegaze with an audience of one or on the list of several thousand guys hoping to land the next Star Wars sound track I would give it a pass. It however deserves to be heard so THANX big time to giving us an excellent review.
