One point.. Aunt Bee was most likely named Beatrice. It is usually Bea for short..... .pronounced "bee" However, the producers were most likely afraid that the general public would not know how to pronounce "Bea" so they claimed it was "Aunt Bee"

Story goes around that Don Knotts was an overly rough Marine Corps drill sergeant. I’ve read that he was entertaining Army troops with a ventriloquist act. Becoming fed up, he threw the dummy overboard from the troop ship in the South Pacific. To see that act is the only reason I wish I’d been there. RIP Pinocchio.

I loved that show I probably watched just about all the episodes it's sad that most of them have passed away. I just turned 61 myself plus all my parents, grandparents, aunt's and uncles have all passed away also it's scary as he#l to me I got few cousins left time goes by way too fast take care friends.

Would someone please tell me why people don't DIE anymore? They pass away, they pass on, but they never die! Why are we using a euphemism for something that everyone is going to do. That is, to die. Fear? Could be. But even the most faithful of all of us still "pass". They do not die. I think dieing should be a school subject for grade 3 students. After all, it's a life phase but hidden by most. Can't figure it out; are we all that sensitive?
