I feel like she has been the Center of the group after she came back from china, the others has been amazing as well but we have had way more focus on handong, she got a lot more Lines and part in chorus in Odd eye and because not to mention the special clip where everyone is in love with her wich is very true.
What I love about the DC company is: 🤔 that they knows how to use the girls' vocal skills, without forcing an unfavorable tone....allowing you to improve and stand out
Actually, DC company is not that good in that. Yoohyeon is the only one with a decent technique and the only one who can support, DC forcing Siyeon and sometimes JiU, Handong and SuA to do high notes it's bad since they are strained and they can end really hurt. I hope the agency help them and get a good vocal coach because the girls definitely have a lot of potential, they just need improve in terms of technique.
For Handong, I think she is at her best when singing chinese. It seems like she is using different technique if you compare it with her korean singing Maybe because the alphabet system is different and she is still getting used to it
I think it's to do with her resonance, which she has good control of when singing in Mandarin or in her deeper chest voice. Some of these clips from earlier, pre-YWY2, you'll hear her slightly off-pitch or just trying to sing something outside of her range, but she progressed amazingly in these two. But back with the resonance, the tongue position naturally affects this and how well sound is produced, so as she continues to improve in Korean, we should further hear an improvement in her singing too. Watching Handong's progress actually really excites me, because it's like we're watching the journey of a singer as their improve, which is really cool to see. The others are all improving, too, but I would say Handong's improvement has been much more obvious and quite fast, too. I think she has a serious chance at becoming an amazing singer, and I hope she can show that talent in South Korea and continue to release her own music in China :)
Well it’s always going to be easier to sing in her first language, because the pronunciation will come more naturally to her, meaning she can focus more on other aspects of singing, such as her breath control and resonance. When she has to focus on her pronunciation of a “foreign” language, it takes much more mental energy
wow .... to have 6 months of training, when She debuted with Dreamcatcher ... her vocals have improved day after day ... and I consider that she went from being a sub-vocalist to a vocalist with the opportunity for further development.... her voice gives the group a unique and necessary tone
Handong is getting stronger in Dreamcatcher lately. During the year she was on hiatus, she became a better singer, a better dancer and she mastered the Korean language a lot better. And on the year following that, from Eclipse to BEcause, she got a lot of support from DCC and the other members and she worked even harder. I'm so proud of Handong and all the things she does. And I bet everybody in DCC and her sisters are, too.
i think a lot of people forget that handong was kinda vocally trained already before going into happyface. what i do wish is that they allow her to sing in lower registers. i knew from the first time that i started stanning her that she was talented. handong trained only for 6 months with hf before debuting and while its probably rare for idols to do that, ha:tfelt is another idol who basically did that. she only trained for about 3 months before debuting in wonder girls but she is (in my honest opinion) one of the best vocalists i've heard in kpop. i thoroughly believe that if hf would just continue on vocally training handong and also allowing her to sing in different registers, she very well will become an extremely good vocalist and dancer
Dongie. Our Ice Princess. She has such a pretty voice. And just like the rest of the members is underrated in the KPop industry. They could all be lead or main vocalist and that is something that most groups can’t say about their members.I also consider them all, not just JiU visuals. They are all beautiful and it’s entirely unfair, but we are blessed to have them. They have all improved vocally since debut, but since coming back from China, Handong has upped her game. I love her soft vocals, but I am weak for her deeper register like from Poison Love, Eclipse and Don’t Light My Fire. I am week for the entire of My House..
Tbh none of them could be Main or Lead vocalist in other groups. I love their vocals and their voices, but in fact, Yoohyeon is the only one who can support. Not even Siyeon, who is the Main vocalist and it's supposed to be the best, can support her notes and have a bad technique. I hope the agency gives them a good vocal coach since the girls have a lot of potential and if they don't improve or take care of their voices can end really hurt:(
She's a real sunshine and very talented. Her voice is lovely and she's an incredible dancer. Her live singing has improved alot and she's killing it with the dance coreographie's. Love Handong💛💛💛
Excellently done. I really enjoyed that. When Handong sings gently she sounds like a musical instrument. When she sings powerful she could front a rock band.
Honestly, her voice is what attract me to Dreamcatcher first time, tho at first i dunno who sing the lines.. one of unique voices of dc (which all of them is lel tho i can subtract some to be really unique, no offense), and i honestly think she's born to be korean singer (maybe cuz i rarely hear chinese songs except F4). She's cute as well, anything she does is cute 😸 Gothic Dongie is the best so far 😍 On that TTS cover.. her voice is like Seohyun 😮
Yeah Seohyun is one of SNSD's main vocals along with Taeyeon and Tiffany. (Aka TTS is all 3 main vocals in a subunit, same with Super Junior's KRY - all 3 of their main vocals in a subunit.) That Dongie and Gahyeon pulled it off flawlessly definitely means that they're at the very least lead vocals (on Sua's level because she didn't outshine them) in DC - put them in any other group and they'd be mains. It's just that Siyeon and Yoohyeon are such monster vocals which is the only reason they get overlooked a lot.
@@InsomniBlink Sua is a lead vocal officially, not subvocal. Dongie is the only 'official' subvocal - but I think everyone agrees that the official positions (aside from mains) have changed since debut since everyone has improved wildly. But it's still a massive power move to have 3 non-main vocals covering a subunit full of main vocals and nailing it, ad-libs and all.

@@InsomniBlink I don't use them at all - pretty much anyone can submit stuff and get it updated. Reddit only has Sua listed as main dancer (I know the mods there are very timely with updates and are pretty thorough when it comes to upkeep) so idk now. I remember at debut time that Sua was listed as a lead vocal and lead rapper as well as main dancer (I remember it bc to me it was odd to have one person in so many roles but she proved it time and again) but I can't find any further information about their official positions and makestar even has her listed as a rapper. I tried Naver but I guess they're not putting positions on profiles anymore. So really all anyone can for sure say is that Sua is the main dancer. Always always always look for multiple sources of info. Don't trust one site or even one person about things. Positions change, people improve, but for me personally, there is no damn way Sua is a *subvocal* at any point in either Minx or Dreamcatcher. Vocalist or lead vocal, hands down. I don't think DC even has a subvocal anymore tbh.
I have to admit Handong mostly are overshadowed by the other Dreamcatcher members. I mean It's not her fault to be in the same team with so much amazing talents. But when she was in china, you can definitely the gap between her and the other contestants. She maybe wasn't in the top one but she was belong to one of a few talented girls

i always thought handong's voice sounded like an angel. i've noticed that even in those older songs where she hardly got any lines, her parts were usually my favorite (besides the raps lol). her voice is really stable and she killed the odd eye chorus. i hope she gets more chorus lines in the next comebacks.
This is a great compilation showcasing Dongie's vocals, thanks so much for making it! She's always had great range and a really nice vocal color, but she's definitely been an underrated and underutilized vocalist in the past. I'm happy she's been getting more and more spotlight now and she's always improving and trying new things (for example by covering "Snapping" in their recent concert). Hopefully this continues! Imo she's proven she can sing since debut (I mean, just listen to "Emotion") but at least now with her getting more lines, a Handong ult like me don't have to see people questioning her talents and place in the group as much :P
she really is an incredible vocalist and i am also glad she has gotten more lines after she came back from china. and omg her snapping cover i have still not recovered from both vocals and VISUALS in that had me dead, i could not include it in this though because the video would be taken down
Somewhere out there in the RU-vid-verse is a clip of HanDong sing a line from "Think of Me" from Phantom of the Opera. I've since lost it, but if she would sing that whole song, it would be so amazing. I'm not a fan of the Opera, but I would listen to her sing that over and over.
i agree but i think all of them have very different voices and that is one thing i love about them, they are all so differend but together it is perfection

i just finished the one about dami actually and i can say it is my favouritte one to make so far, i learned so much from the research and it is the one i think turned out the best imo but it will not be out untill next week and might change some stuff and i like to stay one week ahed of uploads. i did not know how good her singing voice actually was before now.
