Newcastle United were involved in a discussion with Liverpool over the sale of Anthony Gordon last week. Incoming transfer chief Paul Mitchell must address it.
Isak and Bruno touted out for weeks and when that didnt happen, move onto Gordon. Liverpool Echo was reporting this supposed link over a month ago......i believed them as much as i believe this im afraid.
Stop with the clickbait About Gordon The chronicle seem to get more excited and report about the negatives than anything else This video was primarily about the acquisition and hiring of new sporting director paul Mitchell.... But for some reason you put the title about Gordon???
How does anyone know what happened with Gordon it’s all rumour built up by people like you Mr Ryder. I believe nothing until it comes officially from the club. One thing we are good at is doing stuff under the radar. Did you know the new sports director was coming in, no. “Lots of people looking over their shoulders” says who?
Big Q is…who contacted who? IMO Liverpool swooped when they suspected we needed £££? Can’t see Toon were that desperate….is it all media BS…..Lee you said ‘suggestions’ from who? 😮
Ideally, I were advising Mehrdad (ideally before Trippier was signed) , I would ask him to sign local lads, Jordan's, Pickford and Henderson for the club as the former (and England No. 1) can make St. James' a fortress while the latter's winning mentality can propel the club to the summit.
I think Liverpool fans are in for a shock this season, Slot s no Klopp, Dutch managers always struggle in the Premiership, and lets be honest how hard is it to win the Dutch League, even call me Steeeve won it.
@@LeeRyder deffo mate. Would take an absolutely crazy offer surely for us to sell Gordon though especially to a rival. Personally i would be selling Miggy and Wilson and use the money we get for them towards younger replacements
There is no Anthony Gordon situation where is the proof that he was “Offered to Liverpool?” So far it just looks like click bait from journalists desperate to stay relevant in the face of alternative media.
If we are a "selling" club then please bring back Ashley at least he was the best. If we are a buying club just buy and team up with Man City and Chelsea and dare the league to try and do thier worst!
Sorry, Lee, but what you are quoting on the Gordon situation is purely speculation, same as all the other reports. Where, exactly, did you find out that Newcastle "offered Gordon to Liverpool"? was it not that Liverpool enquired about Gordon, knowing the state Newcastle were in with PSR? Seems strange that it was banded about Newcastle needed £60M to settle PSR problem, and Liverpool offered £60M! I reckon they just tried it on and were told to politely F Off by Newcastle. Someone at the club needs to clarify exactly the situation with the fans, who are all wound up over all the speculation. Would be níce to hear what Anthony says himself, and put the whole thing to bed. IF his head WAS turned, and he actually WANTS to play for his boyhood club, then let him go, Newcastle don't need players who don't want to be there for whatever reason. I'd personally hate to see him go, he's been Toons most exciting player for years, but if he wants to, well...........
I don’t understand why we should offer players a new contract after 1 good season. Gordon accepted his long term contract last year and accepted his wages. He should be happy here and happy with the wages he agreed to. His career took a turn for the best since leaving Everton and joining Newcastle under Eddie. Otherwise he would still be at Everton now.
