In this video I'll talk about an INSANE Geometry Dash Idea that someone had on reddit recently. Also there are some cool levels and memes! I hope you'll enjoy it! Discord Server: / discord Credits: 97% on B: • 97% moment (Daily Dose...
what level would be anti rated in your opinion? join the discord server if you wanna submit a clip to appear in the next video: discord.gg/dailydoseofgeometrydash
Fun Fact: Rob once commented on a level as a joke "I should add an anti-rate feature, gives minus one creator point" but never actually made into the game
I love how the moment people get pinged on the discord every single person comes to the video and just comments "hi" like they're going to get a reward by commenting first 💀
if anti rate was added people would ask for literally every level to be anti rated if there is 1 tiny slightly harder section that makes you take 1 more attempt than normal
Yes thats true but that wouldn't make the level be antirated, and its not as if people didn't do stuff like this right now even without antirating existing.
2:20 the demon teeth get less sharp as the demons get harder because the harder ones are more angry and controlled so they grind off the edges of their teeth from grinding them so much
idk about the anti-rate. sure, it would be great for levels like conical depression, but what if there was some Joe Schmoe who spent like a week making a level that he thought was good, only to get clowned on by Robtop
I know that the anti-rate was more of a joke, but I've thought that maybe Rob could add a different rating (perhaps looking like the featured rating but with a grey outline) which could be given to well-made challenges, or really any "unratable" levels (eg. an Invisible Deadlocked type level). It would give the creator no creator points (thus still encouraging creators to put effort into their levels) but still give the player stars/moons. Thus encouraging the player to play more "unconventional" levels.
Congrats, You Made An Actually Good Idea. Honestly It'd Probably Still Encourage Creating Levels Since Even If You Can't Get The Standard Star Rate, You Still Get To Say You Have A Rated Level, So Great Idea Comrad
Honestly I think that MANY of split72s levels would be anti-rated and most recent levels would be decimated. It would be catastrophic if anti-rate happened but that's just my opinion
the problem with the anti rate is that some creators aren't even intentionally creating bad gameplay or levels, people in the community just assume it is bad and then dislike it a bunch (for example, map pack levels)
I find this concept hilariously awful. People would take down and delete their bad levels, which is not ideal, as fixing the bad levels would do nothing as the rating wouldn't be changed. People don't fix levels usually already, but they never would if this was in the game. Plus, gameplay is subjective, and a few people would enjoy the levels that are supposedly so bad. It would also make getting a single creator point even harder than it already is, and giving someone an anti-rate certainly wouldn't help the mental health issues many creators experience.
This Is Why You Don't Take Suggestions From Literally Everyone, Anti-Rate Would Just Make Everything Worse. Even If It's A Joke, There's Plenty Of People That Probably Want It Unironically
Hello from the creator of the intro! I'm so glad everyone appreciated this video and was even making jokes about it! I'll probably do more intros in the future!
Anti rate will only punish popular/infamous levels. Any kind of attention a level gets will immediately means some form of antirate, be good or bad attention. Its nit a good concept for levels as gameplay is not the only source of attention, but also the creator and the possible drama they may have.
1:07 i like to imagine the supporter icons just being really happy and jumping around before getting sucked into the inevitable top right corner of doom here
omg the the rolling sky hits me with nostalgia i'm currently making a level with an f-777 song from that game ive wanted to make since i started playing and now i can because of music library
Not Gonna Lie, someone should make a pulsing circle as a background (at the drop) for their submission into the NCS gauntlet. That would be a sick nod to the NCS videos.
ROLLING SKY WAS PEAK MOBILE GAMING! I remember playing it so much, but now I've lost my touch... I think my mind might be playing tricks, but there used to be another, better tutorial level! The menu for selecting levels was different too! Man that game is just pure NOSTALGIA!
They actually did change which level was the first, but don't worry, the old (and better imo) tutorial level (called "massif") was still there last time I checked. Think it was moved to the third level or something
