Chiricahua Apache daughter and mother activists, Naelyn Pike and Vanessa Nosie, tell their story of resistance to protect sacred site, Oak Flat, from destruction by mining through the Apache Stronghold movement.
This presentation took place in the Indigeneity Forum at the 2015 National Bioneers Conference.

This video should have 10 million views or more. The best most important videos, talking about issues critical to life on earth and protection of all life get minimal views or likes while a video of a dog or cat doing funny things gets millions. This beautiful young lady and her mother have great knowledge and intelligence and speak for those of us wanting very much to protect the land mountains, water and all life on it - and the way of life that used to exist on our beautiful earth

That is the old way. Here in Northern Arizona the young folks don't do the old ways. That's a shame!! There is a lot of crime on the reservation. There are casinos all over Arizona. I am a Jew, having been in prison camp in w.war 2 but love the Mother who gives me everything to live on. My WAYS AND THINKING are the same as if I was born here. I am a spirit warrior, I fight injustices and have accomplished much as far as native RIGHTS are concerned. McCain was a traitor!! But NOBODY DID ANYTHING TO CHANGE IT. Seen it during Covid. Like sheep they follow blindly. FEAR CRIPPLES! TRUST THE LAND, NOT THE GOVERNMENTS
