I'm a high school student who is required to dress up often. Your fancy tie knots have made my mornings quite entertaining and earned me quite a lot of praise. Thank you!
I'm going to use this one for Christmas because not only does it look like an aperture, it also looks like a Christmas wreath! Great work - appreciate it.
Thank you for your creativity. These knots are a welcome relief to the usual half windsor knot that I have used for some 40 years. I'm not a real fan of neckties, but this lends a decorative yet simple touch something that I reluctantly employ.
I've been doing a series of knots for 2 yrs. I get most compliments off your vidallia, but I love all your work. I don't know why I'm asked to do a video, I tell them watch you or novitiny! Anyway thank you!! #awesome styles
+Tony Menefee thanks so much! If people are asking you to do videos, it's probably because they like your personality. I understand what you mean though, I feel the same way every time someone asks me to do someone else's knot. Thanks so much for watching, I greatly appreciate you!
Linwood, thanks for all of these awesome wicked knots mon, you rock! I've been using different knots every week for church for the past few months and the compliments I receive wow! I finally got the chance to say Thanks a Million, keep them coming. Irie mon!
+CaribbeanBerry Thank you very much! It is my absolute pleasure to be able to share them with you! Thanks so much for watching and wearing, as well as sharing the feedback you've been getting, I greatly appreciate it!
Nice! I really like that you add something extra to the knot. I have a couple coins that I like to use. It just gives another talking point to the knot!
I'm new to your channel and I like the twist you add to your knots & because of you and Patrick Novotny I have strayed away from the traditional knot. Every new knot that I due is a conversation show off piece and it gives dressing up a new meaning and not a chore. It's amazing how the difference of a tie knot can change your whole outfit.
Thank you so much! I greatly appreciate that! I love the unique, non traditional knots also, they are the reason why I dress up! Thanks for watching and commenting! Btw, Patrick is awesome isn't he?
+WhoSeesThis Yes he is, I have gotten to the point where I share my new tie experiences on FB, Twitter, & Instagram & everyone loves it. I will be wearing one of your creative knots next Sunday for church & submitting a new pic for FB, Twitter, & Instagram.
Wore this on Friday, being a huge Portal fan. I finished it started singing. This was a triumph I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS! It's hard to overstate my satisfaction. Aperture tie knots We do what we must because we can For the good of all of us, except the ones who are bland But there's no sense crying over every mistake You just keep on tying 'til you run out of cake...
Just when I thought the full windsor knot was the absolute epitomy of a nightmare you pull something like this off. Much respect my friend. mine turned into an intangible mess
Thank you sir, I am a pastor but I have only done the traditional knot and just recently the double Windsor. You have showed me how to tie this not and one more that I watched thank you for helping me add more vision to my life 😂😂
Oh my God! You have the prettiest hands ever. I'm jealous. I get claustrophobic and absolutely refuse to wear anything around my neck, and the knots that I tie are generally more survival and/or craft related, but I'm gonna go watch more of your videos so I can see your pretty pretty hands.
you sir have some knot magic going on. I came on here to master tieing ties for my sons and was intrigued by how different and classy this looked. I wik need to practice but I will master it!
It took me about 100 tries, but I got it!!! LOL It's really a nice knot for a special occasion. I also inserted a cuff link instead of a 'jeweled button, you have to mess with it a bit for that right look, buts stays in place all day!... Thanks for Sharing!!
+Tornait that is so awesome!! That's actually how I started doing knots! I watched about 4 of Alex Krasny's vids and it just got the creativity flowing! I'm sure you are coming up with some beauties!
That's actually a lot simpler than it looks! I'm impressed and I'm definitely going to try it on my boyfriend's tie the next time we have a fancy dinner out!
Ur tie game is WICKED.....WOW ... I'M trying to keep up.. 😄😉.. Much blessings to u. My King.. P. S . love ur new hair.. Tell Queen I said many blessing and thank u for being supportive. Love ya..
I love these videos! I respect that you're honest about when something isn't going right ("I'm getting all tangled up" part). I makes me comfortable knowing that even the instructor gets a little mixed up some times. Plus, I never hear anyone else say "God bless" in these controversial times. Great video. Thank you.
I'm gonna try this one out too! you should totally do a video about the basics of ties, the difference kinds of ties, etc. also, why do ties come in different lengths? Some of mine end up being too short to make knots.
Dude! I never knew there were so many ways to tie a neck tie. I've always tied the half Windsor. I kinda like the Trinity and the Vidalia, don't know about the shutter knot to me looks a little feminine.. would look great on a girl with a suit sporting some red bottoms..👔
Just learned how to tie a tie today, but I've always seen hella cool knots from debate tournaments. This knot is hella hella cool bro, thanks for posting.
+Jason Johnson My pleasure! Thanks for trusting me enough to wear my knots! I have a hard time wearing windsors also! I think they look good and all, but they just don't fit my personality. Thanks for watching!
The photo shoot was over by the time I tied that knot right...just playing, that is a gorgeous knot🪢 and love the look with the gem in there! great tutorial ❤
+Brett Friedrichsen thank you very much. I do my best to answer back everyone who comments, I feel like it's one of the most important ways to show my viewers that I appreciate them. I'm so glad you like the knot, and I hope it works out well for you! Thank you so much for watching, and commenting!
+djtblizzle ooh that would be nice! If you share any pics of it online, would you mind tagging me on social media so I can see it? Thank you for watching!
+Grammar Nazi lol thanks! It is such a pleasure to know that everyone has an opinion, and freedom of speech! Look at you exercising your inalienable rights! Lol thanks for watching.
even if he does look and act gay (which i couldnt care less), the man is trying to show someone something that could benefit them later in life. i may not agree with a homosexual lifestyle but i am certainly not going to act differently towards anyone based on things like that because the thought has occurred to me that Jesus never shunned someone or degraded them based on trivial things like that and we as humans should strive to be more like Jesus in his ways and teachings. people need to stop being judgmental towards others and learn to love one another as a people instead of color or sexual preference. life is too short to be so petty.
thank you for posting this video and i am so glad to hear you say GOD bless at the end because that means a lot to someone who believes. you did a great job on the knot and it was a very informative video. very helpful and very clear and precise directions. take care and GOD bless you too.
Thanks for sharing I used it for a quinceñera (sweat 15) party all of the guys had this with a pink tie.. looks wonderful thank you again for the tutorial
As a professional photographer, I'm madly in love with this and will definitely be wearing it to shoots! Also as a professional photographer though, your definition of aperture and shutter could do with some brushing up ;)
+Nate Bridge|Archangel Media lol I'm certain that it could! I definitely need to educate myself a bit more on the workings of cameras! If it helps out any, I recently learned about ISO and I'm beginning to toggle it during my filming and such to ensure better exposure! I'm still nowhere near a pro status though, that's for sure! Thank you so much for watching!
I like it!! Looks great and different than 'll the thousands I see on tie people. Color is what separates them a little bit but this would make a difference!!..
Now......THIS knot is sick. I like it. At first I was like.."great another 'fold the tie' knot". But it actually is quite nice. And since my fiance is a photographer....It will work well for me. ;) Thx for another good one.
+XxDELIVERENCExX LOL Thanks, I'll have to create a knot without the standard folding just for you! I'm glad you like the knot though! Thanks for the feedback!
Great vid, thanks. I've rocked to this once thanks to you, but I need more practice. For the optional bling in the center of the aperture I used a cr2032 battery with red reflective DOT tape on the side with the size and voltage markings. The bare side has a cool texture and is fairly reflective silver in color. The reflective tape is subtle but when the light hits it right, it hits. I can flip it over to switch it up and if it gets lost it's no big deal. Thanks again and keep them coming!
The first time I saw the picture on the video I was like “this is so hard” but when I open and finish watch the video, I was like “this is so easy” and happy that I could do it as well, thank you for sharing God bless😇
