I don't believe Seneca would have claimed that perfection was possible. For the stoics, perfection was a unattainable goal. However, the stoics strived for this impossible accomplishment as a means to better themselves.

The same is true for the Christian. We strive towards perfection Work to become more Christlike, acknowledging that perfection is impossible.
