The Aqara Ceiling Light L1-350: THE Best HomeKit Ceiling Light - with Adaptive Lighting!

The Aqara Ceiling Light L1-350 uses Zigbee, and therefore needs an Aqara hub, which also exposes it to HomeKit. Not only that, but Aqara has ensured that whilst this ceiling lamp only does warm to cool whites, it's also compatible with Apple's Adaptive Lighting feature, which isn't something you see on all bulbs, let alone ceiling lights. It's also listed as only working with 220v, but in actual fact, it works fine with 110-120v as well, just like their Aqara bulb T1.
The only potential issue is that this is currently designed to work with the China server, although I've not personally tested it to see if it'll work on International servers. If you already use the China server, there are no issues, and it's one of the best 'bang-for-buck' lighting products out there.
You can find the L1-350 in all the usual stores on AliExpress etc, so go for it.

Would you review the Aqara spotlight and downlight? Like the LED bulb T1 and ceiling light T1 that use 220-240V and are also compatible with 110-120V, are they also compatible with 110-120V?

Hi, unfortunately I have nowhere suitable to test the spotlights or downlights, so I won’t be reviewing them. I suspect they would be compatible with 110-120v, but I can’t be sure.

I read from Taobao review that it can only connect to Aqara M1S hub? Not sure if it can be connected to M2 hub? Also, can it be bind to Aqara Scene Panel S1? Thanks!

Hi, when the L1-350 first came out, it was only able to work with Mi Home, which is probably why someone stated it would only work with the M1S, as that hub is also compatible with Mi Home. Now, the L1-350 can also work with Aqara Home, so all hubs are compatible with it. The Scene Panel S1 is not a Zigbee hub, so devices can’t be added to it. Only the MagicPad S1 is a hub, which will work with the L1-350. However, even if you add the L1-350 to other hubs, both the MagicPad S1 and the Magic Switch S1E can control the L1-350. For some reason the Scene Panel S1 can’t control the L1-350 like the other two panels can. Not sure why.

Yes, I have two Aqara bulbs T1 here that work fine on 110-120v. I also have the original Aqara bulb, but that will only work on 220-240v. They sell them here in Taiwan, where the voltage standard is the same as the US.

Hey, can you replace a normal light with this one and control it through a wired aqara light switch - so it's phsycially connected to the light? Or only via the wireless switch options?

Yes, you could use an Aqara smart switch that has the option to disconnect the relay, then control it with a simple automation in the Aqara app.

Hi, as it’s permanently powered (with neutral) it can help spread the Zigbee network signal.

Yes, you can wire it up to a standard power cord with a plug on one end and plug it into and outlet. That’s exactly how I use it currently.

Hi! Just checking back, is international support still not there? I’m looking for ceiling lights and I have aqara presence sensor and lock. I see I can pick l1-350 for $63 at Chinese websites. I would like t1 ceiling light but it’s a bit too expensive. I plan to integrate it in home assistant and I’ve Apple TV as well until then

The L1-350 is unlikely to get an international release now, as it’s been out for a while. The newer T1/T1M is supposed to be coming out internationally though, although I’m not sure why it it is taking so long.

@@gautambakliwal826 there are some new Aqara ceiling lights with very slim profiles, but once again China only, so unless a store you use on AliExpress can source these for you, there’s not much else I can suggest. The LEDs will eventually fail, but that’s the case with all LED products. The lifespan of this product is such that you’ll probably end up replacing it before they fail (depending on usage).

Он не будет работать со стандартным выключателем света, так как при отключении питания свет перейдет в автономный режим. Не уверен, что это будет работать с Яндексом, извините.
