Recommendation. If you can put the air blower in a different room. I highly recommend it. It’s gonna be super noisy and distracting. Also I highly recommend ordering fish in slowly. I’ve seen what overstocking needs tanks can do. I worked at a LFS here in Austin Texas for about 2 years. Good luck man, I’ve been following your progress! Edit: also you’re going to regret not using oil based paint.

Looking really nice!, i would use hypo salinity water for the fishes so that anything on the fishes will die off and it will also help with running costs as salt for all your tanks is going to get expensive...

Wish you best of luck, it's a hard business to survive. As long rent reasonable and over head not bad, Don't put a time frame. Do it right even if it takes a week or so longer expected. Don't buy to many fish until system stable. Little each week

Curious. Are all those tanks just being supported on two ends only? 🤔. Yes, I realize they’re standard floating glass bottoms. 20 gallons 160lbs. Tank probably weighs 25lbs. So probably 185lbs. 92.5 lbs per side. Plus substrate. The rack will support that, but will the tanks hold up long term. They’re not made to be supported like that. I’d be scared from a liability standpoint. What did the manufacturer tell you about supporting the tanks like that? Maybe it won’t matter much with their small size. At least you didn’t choose 20 longs. Haha! That would be worse. Hope it works out. Store is coming together nicely though!!! Good job on this huge endeavor.

Some tanks I will not heat. There are a few fish freshwater fish that don’t need it.
