That note is really good even though it prevents you from producing units near the player it also save you from war with them.(unless they are willing to give the card back)
Sarween Tools is simply essential for Arborec as fast as possible, because your combination of infantry production and being able to claim then produce makes getting two infantry at zero cost incredibly effective in the early spread. Take Technology unless you know another player has it and will definitely use it immediately.
Absolutely :) I am trying to give people a head start with their race rather than go into a lot of details in these videos, but I agree, Sarween is good for most races as a first/early tech and very much the case for these dudes.
I think one mistake you did make in this video was stating that Nestphar is one of the better home systems in the game, a 3/2 planet is not statistically very good in comparison to what the other races get, I can only think of maybe 2 or 3 other races that might have worse home systems.
Not sure if you will see this comment, but something happened to the video quality on some of these videos. At least on my end, not able to see anything and there's just green and blue streaks on the screen.
@@RulebreakerBoardgames of course they can, they can steal any upgraded tech, including racial techs with their X and Y assimilators. That's why people should be afraid if there are sol/arborecs in the same game as nekro.
They have a horrible start and to use their production properly they need a lot of resources, so they can gt stpped somewhat easily. But you're right, they can get really overwhelming.
In my game group they keep losing badly, they start slow and just can't seem to get the resources they need to really become powerful.. the "build while you move" trick seems nice, but Clan of Saar does that better. Also a very underwhelming flagship, it can't build and move in the same activation. One remark about Magen Def grid: you get a free round of shots *after* the bombardment phase. Which usually does not occur when you have a PDS. Ik guess you meant to say "invaded" instead of bombarded?
@@racoonboyo4607 "If" indeed, most races can do that if they are lucky enough to get that card. I have yet to play them myself to be honest, will do so in the future.
@@andelknijft7030 their start is to slow. hard to expand and their home planet is not good enough. early they can't get enough resources to use the production of their ground forces. Later they get better but i think there are better races
