I used to be a competitive archer. I used a bow with much lower draw strength, and much heavier arrows. This crossbow uses bolts that are half the weight of a traditional arrow, with far more than twice the energy. I can only assume that it is fast, flat and devastating.
At 30 metres they will take down any deer in the UK ... but as you know we cant hunt with a crossbow in the UK... In the states this same bow is used as a hunting weapon for Whitetail deer .. although it's the cheap end of the range for crossbows and low power they now exceed 500lbs some of the top end bows at 150 they are excellent and effective weapons .
These things are definately not toys you can easily kill at 100 feet, Im talking deers here. The first time I tryed it was in my garden at a thick wooden door. I went straight through & I never found that bolt so I bought a hay bail & a bag of sand, same thing. I wouldnt call it a sniper ideal as it makes a proper twang, just remember to wax the rail & string. Unstring it untill you want to fire it, the bow will weaken as will the string. Take care & happy shooting!
For the money they are #EPIC .... at that price seriously they are great to shoot and you can see the guys in the states Hunting deer and small game with this same crossbow at 150lbs ... I have 2 crossbows at 175lbs and they are very powerfull you cannot reteieve bolts from targets most are sunk too deep ... you can buy a very decent foam target bale from springfields for £64 pounds that can accomodate the power of these 150 lbs upwards bows Link to Springfields hunting camping survival gear will take you to the site they are uk based for quick delivery... great video and for the money a great bow. 💯👍
I'm looking at crossbow to get now, and in Australia the Jaguar crossy costs $300-. Still a lot cheaper than most other brands & models. The quality seems to be ok too.
RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 it is roughly 105 us dollars... if youre in the States then you should go here instead of buying from an EU dealer, faster, easier. Here you go!! www.ebay.com/itm/JAGUAR-175-LB-SPRING-CAMO-ARCHERY-HUNTING-CROSSBOW-w-BOLTS-ARROWS-Bow-Gun-NEW-/231529547012?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35e83c8504 -or- another option... which is only around 89 usd www.ebay.com/itm/150-lb-Black-Metal-Hunting-Crossbow-Archery-Bow-4x20-Scope-12-Bolts-180-80-50-/271266019816?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item3f28b6f9e8
let's be totally honest, you could kill someone with a fuckin' tampon. the string from a 150 could break fingers that get caught in it. we all bite the dust some how.
most people say cross bows beat a uk legal 12lb air rifle which does not require a licence the law is stupid i woudent let a kid play around with a 185lb crossbow a stupid kid coud kill a guy at 100yards with that power maybe thay shoud drop the charges on air guns over 12lb because a crossbow what i want will go 151lb 400fps ghost barnet 400 185lb draw
Learn some nomenclature before making a video like this. You shoot a bolt at a boss. You do not fire (no gun powder) an arrow (archery) at a door, bale or especially an animal as it is illegal to hunt with a bow or crossbow. Also it is not a blade it is a fletch. You then go on to decide for yourself, based upon penetration (remember, no shooting animals) what the ideal range of the crossbow is. The only issue with the 30 meter shot was your inaccuracy. Arbalists fart in your general direction.
No licence needed for a crossbow , under 12lb air rifle , a compound/ recurve bow or slingshot but you do need to be over 18 to buy them . This does`nt mean you cant get arrested for having one in a public place. You need landowners permission and a good backstop for any bow. They all are very quiet and silent killers and safety is a must at all times with anything like this. I just got the 175lb one , shoot it in my garden and i love it. Check out my videos of me shooting it.
