This video features the armwrestling giant Alexey Voevoda.
Voyevoda holds a good deal of recognition as a professional arm wrestler, also secured several Russian arm wrestling championships. His triumph over legendary arm-wrestler John Brzenk, was immortalized in the feature-length documentary, "Pulling John", directed by Sevan Matossian. The film, "Pulling John", also chronicles his life and training in Russia. He was defeated by Travis Bagent at the 2003 WAF championship, but won the Zloty Tur 2004 cup one year later, defeating high level armwrestlers such as Bagent, Brzenk, Matt Girdner, and Alexey Semerenko.

Here in Canada it don't matter how many world titles you have our government gives zero support. So basically your training travel all expenses comes out of pocket. In 04 there were 3 of us from 1 family competing in south africa. My sister got a gold in the Jr's I got silver left hand jr and my mother won 3 golds and 1 silver. It cost over 15,000 for my dad to take us plus what he forked over for my mom's personal trainer. All together my mother has 13 world titles all paid for by my father. Nice support from our country eh.

Flash in the pan no longevity I understand Olympics took presidence and the same with Larrat and his military commitments but solely based on armwrestling he, beat John when he was 95kg Alexey was 125kg and ran scared from John when he was fully prepared 2005 John against semernko would have beaten him and John would have been lighter and way older. Peak Voyevoda is great but id take Lukpes Dennis Pushkar Levan John Dean etc etc as better peak for peak.

C'mon msm. He beat Bagent after losing to him the year before. In his day when he was works champion, he was unbeatable. He took John on afar John won his final against Taras. That match was more an exhibition.
