Ib will be celebrating its 10th anniversary this month, believe it or not! Nearly a decade later I frequently think about this game and how it’s influenced my life. I won’t get mellow dramatic, but from its art style to its status as an indie horror icon, this game has shaped a lot of me. For those who are curious, Kouri stated last fall that they were working on a remake of Ib from the ground up, with new features and content, to be on Steam later this year. If you are interested in following that, Kouri occasionally posts updates on their Twitter @monomu_kouri and it also links to their blog (all in Japanese). I highly suggest following them to keep up with updates on the game, and showing them support for their work after all these years.
What is there to hate her? If you were in there, you'll do the same thing. Mary just felt lonely, just like in the notebook after she was burned, when two people came in. She had no choice if she wanted to get out, to kill someone.
ok its fine if u hate me just keep in mind that its just my personal opinion and i respect you for giving this charming and cute vilan the love and cherishment she diserves.
RandomOtakuGirl it makes sense that u feel ur in her shoes she is a relatable character with her regular feelings of lonlieness and longing we all have those feeling, as well as abandonedment and anger and a love for a friend, when I put up my original post it was 2years ago when I berly started to get into the game, I learned her story and backround and now I like her very much, kind of like the maid in another RPG game Mad Father. No one in this game is truly evil but at the time I thought it was a bit messed up as u can say to betray and try to kill ur sopposed friends but now that I know what she was feeling I can relate and put myself in her place I honestly would have done the same with a few modifications. Overall I like her and I respect ur anger tward the younger me I would probably hate me to. My sinserest apoligys I am verry sorry.
I didn't know it was called that. On my game fine, it literally calls it "âRâîâbâè âëâtâHâèâA", and I honestly never heard anyone talk about this piece of music, so I just called it "The Art Gallery".
It's actually not Vivaldi, it's called "La Folia" and it's one of the oldest recorded European melodies, which many composers (Corelli, Liszt) have made variations of. I'll stop being a shit now
I went to a Art gallery in my area and there was a sculpture of a Giant Red rose, and on the name plate thingy it said "The rose symbolizes the Heart of a person. When the rose dies, the person in it's possession will too." And it was simply named "Memory" I WAS SHITTING BRICKS.
I realized that! I saw there are actually a couple songs no one has uploaded... I was kinda disappointed. So I decided just to upload them myself! Oh and thank you! That's so kinda of you haha!
A song never been stuck to my mind like this one, every time i hear a violin, i hear this or "omori"/"final duet" from the game omori, the 2 best 2d games i ever played
I don't know if anyone has said already, but I believe this song is actually called "La Follia" and it's a classical piece that actually wasn't written for the game, but written for, well, real life. Still a cool song though!
The game is up! if you would all please search for Liszt's Spanish Rhapsody S254, and go to one minute and 25 seconds, you will see who REALLY composed this melody.
A lot of people wondering what Yoshi is doing here. Well, In Ib, you can see a dead Ib hanged like Yoshi. This Ib is called "eve", and it's the painting of Ib (A "False" ib if you want) When Mary was looking for Ib and Gary, She sure founded Eve, and she killed her, by hanging her like this. That's why she say "WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE ?!" When you found here after this, she think she killed Ib.
Mary's portrait that had to be sacrificed to save Ib. Gary's portrait that represents the soul forever lost to the Fabricated World, possible created as a way for the FW to apologize. Yoshi's portrait...um...Mario, you might wanna jump in that one.
YOSHI WHY??? I KNOW THAT MARIO ALWAYS PUNCHED YOU AND LET YOU FALL OF A CLIFF BUT WHY?!?! YOU HAD SO MUCH TO LIVE FOR!!! I'm overreacting, he's probably still alive.
Yes I have been informmed that the name of this piece is "Corelli La Folia." Thank you to the people who informed this to me, and there is no need to continue sending messages and making comments tells me this (✿◠‿◠)
o.o Well, just be careful not to jump into any exhibits and stuff ;p Though, in my case, I would mind meeting a "Garry" even if I had to go through all those... creepy stuff -.-
same here.... It's really weird, when i close my eyes while i hear the music, i have unexplainable flashback.....Im still trying to figure out what it is today...
It's not exactly coincidental, this song is one of the oldest remembered musical themes. A lot of famous musicians have made varieties of it such as Vivaldi, Corelli, etc. To sum it up, this song is pretty famous.
Paranoid kid thinks anyone who disagree their opinion are insulting their intelligence, which they probably not comfortable with in real life. I feel for you.
