Agree. I love the vibes and the ambience from the first, its kinda dark, gory, and packed with action, and lots of their fight scene almost similar to old boys. But the second is good too 👍
The Predator & Terminator franchise can't even topped The Raid🔥🔥🔥 the film set the bar so high for both martial arts & action film that Hollywood forced to stepped up their game by producing John Wick & The Equalizer to stay relevant, I love both film btw 🙈😬
The positive vibes from this guy. In every role I've seen him he looks so serious and imposing. It's kind of a nice surprise to see how cheerful and nice he can actually be.
Taslim and Adkins are two of the most "day-and-night" guys that I ever seen. They're unrecognizable in real life comparising with their movie's characters.
To anyone who isn’t following Warrior, do it. It’s one of the best shows on TV. The sets and backgrounds are incredible and the story, music and characters are amazing. From the team that made Banshee, another masterpiece.
He come from same hometown with me. He's our pride. His family just like other ordinary family. He still talk in our local dialect. He's really humble.
I would agree that 'The Raid' is perhaps the rawest and most intense martial arts action movie. That movie blew me away. Just wall to wall mayhem and brutal combat. The fight scenes in 'Warrior' are amazing as well, not just Joe's scenes but all the fights.
episode 3 season 2s introduction of Hong's (i think his name was) aka the "chain-man" fight scene, was one of the hottest fight scene intros, for a martial arts character.. The music and choreography was so good... It made me wonder, how many takes it took, to land the moves and throw the baton at the guys head lol
@@BrendonLee I don’t know if they would do that to Cage but I don’t think it’d be necessary. I mean, the first Adkins movie I ever watched was Undisputed 2. When I saw Scott’s portrayal of Boyka I truly thought he was a Russian actor. Lol Seriously!

Van Damme or Gary Daniels should have been Johnny Cage in the first Mortal Kombat movie with Cynthia Rothrock as Sonya Blade Phillip Rhee as Liu Kang. Amy Johnston should have been Sonya Blade in the new upcoming Mortal Kombat movie.

I want to appreciate Mr Adkins for being better host than some other actual TV hosts. Of course coming from the same background as the guest is helpful, but what he does is beyond that. He conducts deep study on his guests and chooses interesting questions. He also has the humility even though he maybe the bigger star than the guests themselves. That makes his interview very engaging. And this interview is very definition of it. Friendly host, friendly guest, informative conversation.

What Joe said about how he prioritizes the acting and the character first and then fight choreography second is exactly why I know he’s gonna be a fucking amazing Sub-Zero.
although i respect his comment, i dont think sub zero, is going to reflect that... It seems like sub zero, is going to be a bit more of the opposite aka the assassin with very few words but, we will see soon
His film, The Night Comes For Us, is one of the best martial arts and action movies ever made. The fight finale was voted Best Fight Scene of the 21st Century (So Far)
The Night comes for Us was released "under the radar" but I think it was an enjoyable surprise. It's a very good action movie and the last fight was one of the best I've seen in recent years.
Nice interview, the great thing is Joe proved he has charisma and great acting abilities with the balance of martial arts and stunts. Joe made Mortal Kombat (2021) as he does other films I look forward to see his acting ability. Joe reminds me of the potential of Jet Li or Jackie Chan and Chou Fat era renaissance of acting and stunts, comedy, and action. We were privileged to see some international stuntmen become successful Hollywood pop movie film icons. We need a new era.
Its crazy how Joe taslim aka sub zero plays such a good villian n movies but in real life is such a chill laid back dude. After seeing this and the new mk trailer and the cast interviews I am a fan of Joe. And I'm also a huge fan of Scott Adkins too. Would love for him to be n the new mk movies. Never seen any of joes movies and just heard of him due to the new mk movie and im glad I did I gotta check out his movies. He playing a bad ass sub zero.

The sheer passion Joey has for Street Fighter is EXACTLY what Hollywood lacks and sorely needs. Honestly I’m sick of lacklustre productions. I’d hire Joey in a heartbeat

I've watched this interview so many times😄Definitely one of my favorites. Joe is 1 talented son of a gun and so down-to-earth. I really hope Warrior gets a 3rd Season and for Mortal Kombat to get a sequel AND a prequel!
Joe seems like such a cool guy and he does not seem to age as well. really impressed, I have seen him in a lot of films but only just found out about him.
Scott Adkins as Johnny Cage would actually be really cool. He's got the look of him for sure, and the fighting ability that Johnny would have. Fingers crossed for a sequel and Scott to be a part of that.

the final fight in "The night comes for us" i have never seen a final fight like that in my life, i have seen brutal final fights before, but The night comes for us takes the cake. They even have females that are badder than most action heroes and hard core as hell damn.
Joe Taslim is like a super nice-kind-cool guy with a incredibly-friendly personality yet he can pull off incredible martial skill as well as being a great actor who can sell the part. It just goes don’t get it twisted about the nicest kindest people. Don’t confuse a kind persons for being a weak one. They can be bring the badass if necessary. I believe Jet Li said it, “martial arts teaches you how to be a nice person.” never a book by its cover all the never judge someone by their appearance or demeanor. Because you could be rolling up on real killer.
