The Art Of Animation: "What's Up Danger"

Ever since I was a kid, I always loved animation. There was something about it that stood out when compared to live-action. With animation, you're able to bring your stories to life. I'll never forget when I saw Spider-Man Into The Spider Verse with my family during Christmas. At the time, I was in 8th grade and just started animating in stop motion. As incredible as the movie was, one scene stood out to me: "What's Up Danger". Seeing Miles take a leap of faith had me in absolute awe. It was there that I knew that I wanted to make my own animated movie one day. If Spider Verse was able to inspire me, then I wanted to inspire a new generation of animators.
Despite the many triumphs of animation, there are some who believe that due to its unrealistic design, animation is nothing but a cartoon used to distract children. During Middle School, I used to get picked on because I enjoyed watching shows like Ninjago, Gravity Falls, or TMNT. To others, they saw it as stupid kid shows, but to me, I saw a story filled with characters as they tried to make their way in the world and discover who they are. Even now, some adults and teens view animation as mediocre to live-action. A prime example of this can be seen during 2022's Oscars when the presenters called animation a distraction for kids that they would replay over and over again which would annoy parents. While not intended, this statement felt like a direct insult to the animation community and to me as well. All of our passion and enjoyment condensed to nothing but bright lights and sounds for kids? That's not right. Which is why I wanted to make this video. The Art Of Animation.
A few months ago I asked my subscribers on a community poll to tell me what their favorite animated shows and movies are. However, the guidelines were that it can't be from a Disney movie or Fox Animation. I wanted to make a statement that animation isn't as black and white as people think. Animation isn't as childish as Teen Titans Go or Spongebob, or as cheap-looking, vulgar, and adult as Family Guy, South Park, or American Dad. Animation can be enjoyed by all ages no matter the demographic.
So with all that being said, I wanted to thank you all for 7,000 subscribers. I wish I could have added more animated clips such as stop motion, but I wasn't sure which scenes to pick from. Still, I hope the clips I have are sufficient enough to get my message out. Thank you, guys, for all your support.

A ninja never quits, a jedi fights till the end, and spider man will keep fighting. Every one has different interests but we all learn what we need.

That was AMAZING, Falcon. I’ve come to prefer Animation over Live Action because you’re able to do things that you just aren’t able to do in Live Action. Animation really needs to be taken more seriously, if you ask me. Also, I’m glad to see that my suggestion of the Sonic vs. Shadow fight from Sonic Prime made it into the video. Thank you. This was an amazing video. Keep up the great work!

The two shows in this tribute video that impressed me the most and taught me life lessons that I HAVE used are both Ninjago and Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

Lemme tell you...never stop loving what you love. Im in my 40s and love animation so much. It brings characters and stories to life in a way live action cant. So many animated shows and movies have deep, complex characters, rich worlds, and engrossing stories. The talent that goes into voice acting is also unmatched. Animation doesn't get the respect it deserves. Keep up the amazing work!
