@oliver dreyer it is a play on the words both Arabic and English fan other meaning is the cooling device with fins. مكيف in Arabic is short for Air=هواء Conditioner (A/C), the other meaning is something like becoming happy/cool/content; the state of mind when things go as you wish(ed).

Arabic writing is the most elegant in the world. It looks surreal, like something out of a fantasy novel, but is very much real and used by hundreds of millions of people.

I remember a little practice in Arabic class as a kid we had to draw words and I still can't forget it I found it so fun. Arabic even to us Arabs is very fascinating and complicated. I loved learning the weights of poem and reading the poems of Arabs in the class. Trully our language in itself is art. And that is a bother blessing from God.
Arabic certainly has an allure, which is very sophisticated. It's a writing system developed from writing with sticks in sand, which is why when you look at it, you can't help but to be reminded of Arabia. God bless you.
Old textbooks for learning Qur'anic writting in other countries look like they were written by high school juniors. And these are non-native masters of Arabic language who had written it. It is definetly not easy.
أحب أن أنبهك للـ ( الموسيقى )، بارك الله فيك،، ثبت بالحديث الصحيح عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم:( لَيَكونَنَّ مِن أُمَّتي أقْوامٌ، يَسْتَحِلُّونَ الحِرَ والحَرِيرَ، والخَمْرَ والمَعازِفَ )، (( المعازف )) سبحان الله أخبر بهذا صلى الله عليه وسلم قبل 1400 سنة.. وهاهو اليوم قد حدث..!! ذكر أهل العلم معنى (يستحلون) : 1- يفتي بعضهم بإباحتها بينما هي في الحقيقة محرمة، فيعتقد الناس إباحتها ويقع ( الاستحلال ) الذي هو أعظم من الذنب نفسه .. 2- وقال آخرون ( يستحلون ) : أي يفعلون الذنب ولا ينكره بعضعم على بعض، وكأنه حلال بينهم. ومن ناحية أخرى فنية، الموسيقى دخلت علينا موضة من الخارج وإلا في حقيقتها تعتبر من المشتات،( تشتت التركيز) لذلك كثير من المحترفين يقللونها بشكل كبير وربما يلغونها أحياناً بالكامل حتى في الأفلام في اللحظات التي تتطلب تركيز أكثر توقف الموسيقى بالكامل..!! وهم غير مسلمين، وهذا هو الأمثل لأن الناس تبحث عن المعلومة وتهمهم الفائدة، كما يوجد مؤثرات غير موسيقية .. شاهدت قنوات كثير لها متابعون بالملايين، تخلو من الموسيقى .. إن تطلب الأمر ارفعها من غير موسيقى .. أرجو لك التوفيق أخي،، وفالك الأجمل دائماً، أرجوا أن لا تترك بعدك إلا آثاراً طيبة، يسرك أن تلقى بها ربي سبحانه .. اوجعلك الله من الموفقين ،،
Arabic calligraphy mainly uses ' qalam' which is a wooden pen made of bamboo and other wood material. The ideal qalam for Arabic calligraphy would be bamboo qalam, as the calligrapher is using in this video, there are many more qalam too , such as celi or Turkish, bali, handam qalam . You also need an inkwell ( glass jar 20ml ) and likka( silk thread) to preserve the ink. Paper used by calligrapher are called ' ahar' paper they're handmade and can be maintained upto 100 years. All of this tools are available online . I hope this helps you.
Thanh Huy Tran any water based ink you can use, mix with 2:1 with water or rose water. And put some raw silk in a pot and make the raw silk soak the ink in it and you are done. If you can't find raw silk you can use wool or cotton

His approach is very technical that's why he emphasizes laboring But there is a more flowed method that's more artistic and easier to practice by amateurs
When i was in middle school we had to learn three different old kind of artistic writing style like this one ... Come on i was 13.... But now i find it Interesting !?... If u know how to write in arabic then it's not that hard...
I writing the oriental calligraphy, I've knew it is writing by brush, not pen.. No wonder I have pain in my wrist, not only my character are ridiculous 😂
Martial arts, language, writing, all are extensions of the human body, ultimately. Wow I didn't realize arabic calligraphy had a head, chest, and feet. Haha!
